This waiting is simply tough to deal with, LOL. I want my 1st Reo but want it upgraded.

ROB - I know there have been whispers and assumptions on if the new kit will be able to accept flat-top batteries. Have you tested the kit against something like the Sony VTC4's / VTC5's? Are these an acceptable battery for the new kit or no? What will you be recommending on a go-forward basis?? Since I know I am going to buy a Reo, figured I'd get a jump and get some batteries on the way.

I left the contact a little longer in the grands for just that reason . I dont see there being a problem with the flat top batts . I use a flat top battery in one of my grands with the old contacts I have never had a problem with the flat tops . The current grand switch does work better with a button top battery but there are no rules to your battery preference

Anyone tested the difference in V-Drop between the regular and Sub Ohm Kit?

Curious on a Reomizer 2 RBA around .37OHM what could I expect.?

FYI- I'm posting because I'm interested in buying one, so please be civil.

They aren't out yet so no, no one has done such tests yet(except maybe rob). They are expected to come in soon, unless delays happen. Just stick around and I am sure you will learn all you need in due time.

this is the post your looking for
If I remember standard mod had a v-drop of around .9v on maybe a .4ohm coil. (just going off memory, not verifiable)

That was tested by seanap and others in another thread, that lead to the creation of this thread. Lots of reading to do.....or not.

yes, it's buried in this thread. Only 122 pages, it has a video. Rob did these tests himself

Yes but I believe Rob used the same materials as the new kits but they weren't the actual production parts that he is still waiting on IIRC? So while we have some numbers to go on I don't think those numbers are with production parts so may have some slight variation.

If I am wrong here then I apologize.

Edit: I just went back and re-read robs post and video on the new contacts. He made them in the shop with the same materials as the new kits, they were not the production kits he is having made.

He also said the new parts will be plated so those numbers are just base numbers as the new plated parts may actually perform better than the ones in the video. So for real world numbers people need to wait for these parts to be released.
