How did you remove the juice spike/ 510 connection?

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

Paul, after trying diligently to unscrew the nipple and failing, I decided to just snap it off like Rob does in his video. I did everything just like he does it there.

I actually just watched that video and realized that the gasket was still in my 510. I promptly removed it.

The 510 itself stays in :)

Now I hope I am as successful with the rebuild :)

I've waited so long already what is another week. I tried to order one when I got my 2nd and 3rd but it wasn't ready yet. Now I'll give Rob an extra week before I order to let things settle a bit. I'll need 3 kits, a LP SO TRA Grand, two Brass RM2s for my woods, a LP RM2 for the TRA, a few extra springs, and an aluminum button cover. Then whatever else I need that I can't think of right now. Rob might need a truck just for my order but he'll get the last laugh because polishing the button cover to match the polished TRA will be a major PITA. (aka a labor of love)

I too ordered mine. I just find it hard to believe there is so much excitement and tension over a couple of pieces of metal. I think it's great but not earth shattering. JMHO

I'm not "excited" but I did order enough kits for each of my grands. I don't vape subohm, so the only possible benefit I "may" see is extended vape time (given that I file/noalox maybe once every 6 months). However, I'm unable to measure ANY voltage drop on my TRA grand, getting 4.07 v across the 510 connector, and 4.07 v directly from the battery (5 hours into a fresh battery, 1.6 ohm coil). And that's with a Shortstop installed, so I'll really be surprised if I can see any difference.

3 years in REOVille, and I just figured it was time for rebuild kits, "just in case". I had ordered 1 a few weeks ago, but when these became available, I figured I'd get one for each grand. I'll probably order 2 for my 14500 minis when they become available, as well, just in keeping with the "backups for backups" mode of operation.
