For hybrid watch those atty 510 pins, it’s all in the details. Doesn’t seem like an appropriate place on the risk reward continuum to me. I checked all my 510 pins and some would be dangerous.
Belive me i have my attys organized in the case for what to use on hybrids I aint making that mistake

What is a faux hybrid mod?
A direct-to-battery mechanical mod.

A true "hybrid" mod is an entirely different animal.

"True" hybrids (below pic) are mods with a dedicated atomizer, and no 510 threaded connection. These mods are relatively safe, as you cannot use an incorrect atomizer as the atomizer is a dedicated atomizer specifically for that mod. These were the original hybrid mods.

Below is a true hybrid:
The atty has 20x1 threads.
It attaches to the body of the mod as there is no 510 connector.
There is no top cap.

Later, manufacturers began making mechs with removeable top cap adaptors without a 510 connector and called them "hybrids", too. A misnomer technically speaking, but it has caught on so that these faux hybrids are simply known as hybrids, too.

HYBRID RDA - IS THERE A DIFFERENCE?

As you can see, there is a distinct difference between a hybrid and a faux hybrid. Just a history lesson from a long time vaper and former vape shop employee. ;)

Sure, but I’m talking about the big long lightsaber factor. They’re just idiotic looking when held in a hand.
OK, looks like the the best design for direct connection!
It might be marginally safer, in that you can't put an atty on it without a protruding pin, but I personally haven't seen one of those in a while either. Unless you're talking disposable.

Just noticed something... strange rules around here: I can use the word penis, but not the three letters W, T, F... am I missing something?
Want to see a really funny aspect of the censor, try linking a page from a competing vape forum. ECF be petty lol.

I’ve seen em for sale at my local vape shop. They definitely still exist new. They’re quite rugged as well so old ones are probably still around.
