Melting carts?! (510)

I started on a 510 recently (it is not my first e-cig, but my 4th). I fill up a brand new blank cart and wet the atty. After about 10 puffs within 45 minutes or so, I take off the cart to top it off with some more juice, and the filler looks as though it's been melted, or pushed back. (but looks more like it's been melted to me)

Does anyone else have this problem who owns a 510?
I know that the 510 Atty's run very hot, but I try to keep mine cool, let it rest for a few minutes between drags and never let it run dry. And when I do take a drag, I pulse the button to make sure the atty doesn't run the whole time I'm dragging on it.

Help?
:(

If the filler is close to the open end of the cart then that sounds pretty normal. The filler contacts the bridge. Actually the bridge pushes into the filler a bit. Fluid gets pulled out of the filler into the bridge mesh, down into the wick and on/close to the heating coil.

Well, is this bad for my health? (Noob question probably..) Because I know melting fumes can't be good for my lungs..

Are there any types of filler that don't melt or burn?

Is it really melting? What's in there? Any e-cig filler should be made of a heat/burn resistant material that will NOT melt. Whatcha got?

Just the stock filler that came with the 510 Blanks.
It's not actually BURNING or anything, not turning a strange color (kind of but not too noticeable) it's just when I open a new one, the filler is very nice and leveled out, and when I've vaped on it for a few hours, there is a clear indentation "melting mark" from where the atomizer has been in contact and possibly gotten too hot for the filler to handle.

If you take out the filler and rinse it and dry it on a paper towel, you can examine it and see if it's melted. It IS supposed to contact the bridge and the bridge pushes the stuff into the cart a bit. That's why it needs to me heat resistant.

Okay I'll try that. But how can I tell if it's melted or not? Will it be pretty obvious?

It would be totally obvious (ever light the wrong end of your cigarette?) I'm sure it's working just as it's designed to.:)
HAHA! Ohhh yes I've lit the wrong end before and it wasn't pleasant. And to make things worse, not only did I get tobacco in my mouth every time, but the rolling paper ripped some of the skin on my lip off when I tried to take it out of my mouth lol!

Rosa - I clicked the Banner in your sig and wanted to make one myself, BUT the problem is that no matter what I do I can't get the "money saved" to come up in the actual banner. It only tells me how long I've been smoke free and how many analong's I've avoided... no savings indicator.

mine didn't show that I had actually saved any money for a few weeks. After all, I spent a lot on the initial start up supplies.

(=)

510 carts are shaped sort of like that. Just under the bridge in the atty, is a white ceramic looking thing with a similar shape. Line them up. It's a PITA but seems to prevent the melting.

To Quexos and Rosa too,
I have read that as well... I've been aligning the 510 carts in the shape like you said (=) with the "foil" looking thing on the atty that comes up and down like this ^

should I align it with the plastic white looking piece that is shaped kind of like a Pez candy?
