And you're right...the man can NOT defend himself against this and neither can anyone else. This is the proverbial smoking gun.
Btw..I know I'm in the minority in this group but I still don't think its a big deal. It is shady and I feel like he was definitely dishonest BUT, I think the real measure of a supplier is his actual performance as a supplier.
If he gives prompt customer service and shipping, backs his product and gives good value I honestly don't care that he tried scoring free promotion on the side.
I don't envy him the pile on.

The customer service, product, and value will go a long way to establishing him as a creditable source. I've ordered from him, and based on the experience so far (too soon to recieve) would have no problem with doing so again. That said, since it IS too soon to judge the other qualities, all we have to go on is the past... and that's looking rather poor in retrospect. It's not as big an issue with me as I've not depended on his reviews to make purchases. But I can see the point.
This, I agree with. He was dishonest in posting reviews while starting a business, he was dishonest in posting reviews that were OBVIOUSLY skewed to steer people toward Janty, he was dishonest in reviewing products that he knew he was going to be selling and he was dishonest in saying that he wasn't being dishonest.
This isn't to say that his business is going to suck but it does paint a VERY clear picture as to his level of credibility.
The one thing that REALLY bugs me is his review of competitors product. I can let the other positive reviews go, but that EVO one was dirty.

Yeah, that's the one that gets me...That Evo review is so obviously falsified to steer people to the Dura, it's disturbing...And then after seeing that he gave a completely different opinion about HIS 401...
