I don't quite understand the Ego's battery.

(1) Is this battery made by Janty only, as the lower part of the Ego, or can we buy 600mAh batteries to put inside the Ego?

(2) If it's made by Janty, how long should this battery last if charged say, twice a day?

-----

The battery in the eGo is much like that of a Dura-c - meaning that the battery IS the eGo complete with a button and all the electronics inside.

Both batteries that come with the standard set are under warranty, and is made by Janty and has been quality checked before leaving the factory.

The battery has been made so it will last a minimum of 200 charges - this means that if you charge one battery two times a day, it will MINIMUM last you 100 days.

Since you have two batteries in the package, this means that if you always charge one, and use the other, you should be safe for 200 days - and again
thats a minimum.

- but since the batteries are 600 mAH you might not need to charge it that often!

Hey guys,

just a small heads up to say that we currently have over 300 finished eGos at our factory, we are just waiting for our CE certification for the chargers to complete before we can begin sending them out. So unless something really bad happens, this means the preorders WILL arrive in time!

(now dont hang me if the factory decides to get sucked up by an alien mothership or something...)

:D

nevermind. I went to the site. 3.7 device..

Yes, the eGo runs at 3.7 volt but maintains a peak ratio much higher for a sustained period of time. On a dura adapter going beyond 3.7 volt needs alot of circuitry to protect both the user and the hardware - and the eGo is designed to be both beautiful to use, while practical in size.

We wont come out with any high voltage devices until next year, mainly because we will only release a high voltage device if its safe: its more than just putting batteries inside metal bins you know =)

but just in case, would you have costing already for replacement batteries?? this should give us some idea on the future expenses that we may incurr in acquiring the ego...

the atty is Dura right..so this should be same as the 510 atty....

Hey

Yes the atomizer is the DURA atomizer.

The price i cant comment on yet (as we dont know exactly), but it will be reasonably priced, but higher than for instance the dura batteries (ofcourse, since they are larger and pack more mAH)

Actually, I agree that other adapters do not leak....as much.

I made my own 801-901 adapter from a toasted 801 atty and a used 901 batt.
Since I used a nail to connect the (+) from the 801 to the 901, I soldered the hole closed. At that point there's really no place for anything leaking from the bottom of the 901 to go other than into the sealed "top" of the 901 batt connector and then into the 801 atty tube.

So in that respect, I can see it being harder to get any leakage in that mode.

well I didn't do the thing I was talking about above and didn't end up doing the one thing I thought of that I thought would've been kind of cool but ended up entering something I could do at least lol

I was going to do the whole falling dominoes thing using the EGO for the dominoes and have it spelling out Janty.
But alas I didn't have the photoshop and animation know how to implement it. lol
