What I mean is really ready to vape – standing in a glass next to the keyboard where I just can grab it and push the button. Instead of, you know, remove the atty, grab other atty, screw on other atty, put away old atty. (Not to mention covers.)

Right now I have 5 different flavours standing there, one between my teeth as I type, and one in an USB passthrough in front of me, which usually holds my current favourite. (Or the one I thought might be todays favourite) Yeah, I know, lazyness turned into an art form :D
When I am out of the house for anything more than say an hour I have at least 3 different, complete PVs with me, each with a different flavour.

So if the eGo is that good (which I hope to find out soon) I either have to win the lottery or change my weeks-old vaping habits. And that is going to be your fault! :D

BTW, I vote for simple plug-in connections on the next generation of PVs.

Aaah.. i see your problem :)

Well, i suppose once we do sell atomizer covers you could buy two spare ones + one more ego set - and then you would have 4 egos in total? =)

Regarding simple plug-in connections, oh boy.. dont get me started.. been thinking about this for a while ;D but hard to implement.

Mik, that's exactly what I am affraid of - a few sets and a few spare covers … there go my life savings :D
I guess that plug-in connectors are not exactly easy to implement. They would be most convenient, though. Then again, so would lots of things be *sigh*

And I am rather looking forward to see Kelem in a few days in a ripped t-shirt :D

Well it would be easy to invent, but hard to get everyone to use. Kind of like.. making a tinfoil boat. It would look shiny and be easy to make, but.. youre just not guaranteed enough buyers. Best example EVAR.

(and yes, i love tinfoil)

Enough of this silly talk! :D

Ethan is an ARM9 based computer with a computer to brain interface. Ethan has 256 KB scratch RAM, 48K WRAM and 96KB VRAM. The ARM9 runs at 50MHz but due to the bus only running at 8MHz it can only run that fast internally. You may think the slow speed makes him rubbish but this is just not true as he can utilise the power of the brain to do many tasks. Not only that but due to the embedded nature of the computer it doesn't need a fancy GUI to use up system resources!

POWER SUBSYSTEM
Power is supplied to the system via a blood turbine which is controlled by a Janty Matrix M79590 part number 7489327489 IC During 'wake up' this power management chip sends a signal to the ARM9 to tell it to start executing first bit in ROM, powers on auxiliary systems and gets the system ready to drink the first coffee of the day.

IO
Robotic digital stimulus interface the brain with the computer using theraputic nicotine to excite it into a more controllable state and send it subliminal instructions.

Operating system
During 'wake up' or after a reset the system begins to boot the custom Janty operating system from a ....ticon Systems ROM IC of size 256MB which then attempts to execute any software in the expansion slot.

EXPANSION SLOT HACKING
There are a few cards on the market that will allow you to run unsigned code on Ethan. R4SDHC and M3 being popular choices!

Haha, yeah like last year we made him dance like britney spears, while only wearing stringed-together-atomizers as a full body suit.

Its always fun until someone gets an eye poked out =/ But then again, i shouldnt have joined in on the dance..

I dunno, these days with internet marketing, you can sell odd things. It depends a lot on whether it really does what it is supposed to be. A hassle-free and working plug-in system would, for me, remove the need for half a dozen PVs standing next to me, which would be nice. (Need of course being rather relative here.) If it works with about the ease of, say, plugging in headphones or something like that.

But it would of course require an entirely different system for everything, meaning, you'd have to start buying everything anew, so probably it better had a few other advantages as well.

Then again, it seems you can sell about everything to vapers. We rather like new toys :D

I thought Janty was using the HAL 9000....hmmmm, must have switched vendors.

Yeah, I did find their reply to my ticket a little odd.

And I quote, "I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do. The problem can only be attributable to human error."

I had a probable bad usb charging cable with a "stuck" red LED and Ethan kindly got a replacement out within 3 days! But my problem is not fixed and now my ego is suffering from my inability to use my eGo.

My troubleshooting and logic process:

1) I inserted the battery using the new cable into the ac adapter and got five flashing lights. Battery got really hot.
2) After charging, the red LED turned green and battery glowed white with depressed button so I did a victory dance.
3) Attached a known good atomizer...no crackling...Ra-Ro!
4) I noticed the depressed button with atty would flash, without atty was a steady white light. Hmmmm!
5) Battery #2...same thing as above.
6) Tried charging via my computer usb port...the battery became really hot after 30 minutes, red light remained static, had to remove to cool down for 20 minutes.
7) On both batteries #4 was observed (attach atty get flashing button)
9) Put atty on Dura-C which works and I take a break and vape while I ponder the problem. Good thing...didn't hurt my atty.
10) Checked the battery that had a 45 minute charge via the computer and found no flashing light with atty on depressed button paired with a few wisps of vapor for 10 minutes. Back to flashing light.

Acquired inspiration after enjoying some Red Bull on my Dura-
Perhaps it's not the usb cable it may be the ac adaptor! After comparing the specs on my ac adaptor for the Janty Stick and found the amperage compatible...I chanced cannabilism.

So I attached the suspected defective cable to the JS and attempted to charge the eGo batt. Same heating problem but I had enough power to run my atty for about 4 minutes and then a return to the dreaded flashing.

Observation: Both eGo batts activated the atty when warm but lose a charge so quickly the button fails to light when the atty is off. Thus, there is not enough of a charge to even activate the LED. Guesstimated charging time for each batt is the time it takes to drain 1.5 mega Dura batts or 3 hours (stress vaping). Prior to the troubleshooting charging problems both batteries could activate the LED.

What appears evident:

-My eGo ac adaptor versus the cable may be faulty, or
-The batts could possible not be holding a charge, which..
-Renders assessing the charger trobleshooting analysis moot, or
-the charging accessories and batteries may be defective, or
-the equipment is possessed, a tool of devil, or operator error!8-o
-----------------------------------------

So the question becomes...Is vaping supposed to be this time consuming and difficult?

I apologize for the length of this missive and I thank you for reading my words. Comments and feedback would be greatly appreciated.:D

Pardon my spelling, grammer, and ability to articulate accurately the process I've engaged in.

What say you?

I recently received my eGo and did a review comparing it to some of the other mods I use. The main difference with the eGo and a stock 510 is that there is no perceivable drop in vapor production/throat hit as the the battery loses it's charge. If you currently own a regular 510, you are probably familiar with how well the device works for the first couple draws right after you put in a fresh battery, then slowly tapers off until the light starts flashing... The eGo has been giving consistent vapor drag after drag for 10+ hours. Each just like a fresh charged 510 battery. Also, my 510 batteries tend to start losing their charge "memory" within a few weeks... Eventually they become unusable. The eGo should not have this problem, the batteries are warrantied for 6 months.

Additionally, the atomizer housing does seem to improve the warmth of vapor and increase the flavor.

Hope this helps!
~M.
