Why was the decision made to replace the atty post with one that doesnt have the cross cut air channels? Several af my attys that worked pefect on the V2 will not draw air at all on the V3, unless I do the staple mod and grind down the collar on the atty even with the threads so it will make contact and provide airflow. This limits the versatility of the JS in my opinion. Other than this the new V3 is full of positive improvements.

Eagerly awaiting the arrival of my Janty eGo - my first e-Cig. I figured I might as well go with a quality device from the get-go! I have some questions:

Will mods affect the warranty?

What parts are common and will fit from other e-Cigs?

Have you modded yours and was it worth it?

Do you use carts or drip - and where can I read up on HOW to drip?

Will the Teabag mod work with this? Worth it?

Any advice on this model? Is it great just the way it is?

THANKS

Hi ecitek,
I believe this is GREAT just the way it is...
I use to use nothing but the PTB and now I don't after getting the eGo. I use the same carts as a 510 round tip and with the orig. filler thats inside.
Good luck when you get it and congrats, you will love the eGo from the get go..

Congrats on a new adventure!

You will not be disappointed with the eGo! I was primarily a JantyStick user and was not really looking for a new pv. I just so happened that Janty was looking for members to review their latest product... I was chosen, and fell in love!

The funny thing is... I wasnt even really that big of a 510 fan! I have ordered the Dura-C inn the past and while it was nice, it just didnt "do it" for me. After trying out the ego I was so over taken that I was willing to start building my stock all over again... Seeing as I was an 801 user, the only 510 parts I had were from my dura-C kit.

The long battery life and super fast chargeing capability (The super fast USB charger comes STANDARD in the Janty kit) combined with an awesome warranty and jantys customer service and support were enough to win me over.

Smart choice not playing around with all those "toys" out there. You wont look back after going ego!!!

Do not trust this man, he sent me gum.

Im serious. Who sends people gum?

- All kidding aside Ecitek, welcome to the Janty family!

You will love your new product, and should there be a problem with it - let us know immediately so we can fix it for you. As for your questions :

---
Will mods affect the warranty?

** That depends on what you mean. If you mean "Will it affect my warranty that i painted it army green and installed my own LED" then yes. Basically if you open it up, warranty is void. Actually come to think of it, you can paint it army green if you like. I wouldnt do that, but.. thats because i designed it, so part of me would die if i ever saw one in green :)

What parts are common and will fit from other e-Cigs?

** The atomizer is a DURA/510/eGo atomizer - and that will fit the eGo, and ofcourse the DURA and any existing 510 products. You can get adapters to use other style atomizers on the eGo, but with the exception of the 901 atomizer, i dont think you will be able to fit the atomizer cone back in its place, if you decide to go this way: And to be honest once you try this you dont need to have anything else attached!

Have you modded yours and was it worth it?

** As the designer of it, i can safely say : No, i have not modded it :p

Do you use carts or drip - and where can I read up on HOW to drip?

** I think its very individual who uses what. So thats a choice you make. However heres how to drip basically (and if you run into problems, ask around):

You will get 5 filters with your eGo. Take out the filling material in one of those filters so you just have an empty cartridge. Then take a bottle of liquid ( assuming you have bought one, - if you havent, then your dripping story ends here ) and drip 2 drops ( not more )directly INTO the atomizer trying to get the drops to land on that metal "bridge" down there. Now, its NOT that important that they hit exactly, but do try to avoid hitting the sides. Nothing bad will happen if you hit the sides, but you will not be moistening the atomizer up enough, which will give you a dry taste. You'll see.

Once you dripped those two drops inside the atomizer you will then insert the empty cartridge into the atomizer. Then its time to vape. Fire it up, and it should taste a bit like imagining a pink horse, riding through a cloud of fluffy pillows while Keeley Hazell sits on top of it, and blows you kisses (stories may vary from individual to individual).

The reason for doing the dripping and even bothering with it, is that the taste is much purer, and nicer than the carts. Once the taste starts to fade or you are not getting alot of smoke, take out cart, and redrip two drops into the atomizer, and youre back again.

We are developing a filter ( The Tesla Filter ) which should remedy all this very soon - i cant say when though, but there is a BIG thread in this forum about it, which you can read more up on when you got the time!

Will the Teabag mod work with this? Worth it?

** This i will not comment on, thats up to other people to tell you about :)

Any advice on this model? Is it great just the way it is?

** I think i can safely say : YES. If youre in doubt or have a long wait, go youtube and google janty ego and see some of the reviews, - i think you will find that the general concensus is that this is probably THE best e-cigarette to start of with!

I hope that helps you get started - again, good luck and welcome!

THANKS a lot Mik -

I suppose that I can trust the word of the guy WHO MAKES THEM, huh? heh heh...

The Tesla filter sounds like a neat item - I'll just bet I get one when they are out!

The reason I decided to buy this model as my first e-Cig was because of all the great YouTube video reviews.

I look forward to getting my eGo tomorrow - C'MON UPS!

I have two kits and one I have never put on the fast charger and one I have and the ones I have put on the fast charger now only last me about an hour and a half. Is there any way I can get a replacement for this fast charger maybe one that doesnt kill my batteries.

Son et,
So your fast charger is killing your eGo batteries? Is that correct? If so, please open a helpdesk ticket so we can get you taken care of. I hope you are not using the fast charger to charge dura batteries as it is specifically stated on the insert in the charger package that this will cause dura batteries to fail.

Ethan
