To stay a bit on-topic, I'm using blue foam as a replacement of the standard polyfil in my carts for when I'm out and about, but at home I tend to drip.

How do I like my eGo? I love it! It's very well made in my opinion, and looks great.

me too, i use blue foam when not dripping, and it works waaaay better than the original polyfiller.
first, you can chain vape without waiting between puffs.
second, you can stick more drops into the cart (then more puffs for refill).
third, better taste (closer to dripping).

another mod you can try with the ego i like a lot (if you can call it a mod),
get a 510 to 801 atty adaptor and screw a 801 in, the ego works great like that but you can't screw the cover cone in.
the ego with a 801 atty will perform similar to a janty stick but with lil more vapor, better switch, and infinite battery life of course.
The taste, vapor production and cart longevity is better with the 801 than default 510 imo, but you'll have warmer vapor and better hit with 510.

So... you can switch those atties from time to time for a different vaping experience.

i think it may be a nice add on to the ego set producing a longer cover cone to be used with a ego-801 configuration.

hiya dragon lady. I didn't personally try it because I don't use cartomizers anymore however I have seen others state that they were using the eGo with an adapter and cartos while using the cone.

Hi Thy, :D

I read your review and thought I would look into the eGO for future thought but first I have to make sure I can use cartos. I am too lazy to mess with attys.

Oh, another thing I thought of. When everyone talks about good TH, does it have a "harsh" throat hit like the KR8? I like to feel the TH but don't care to choke on it.

As mentioned yes you can use your carto with an adapter. As for the TH, I find it just as good as any other 510 though with the cone it does warm up the vapor a bit for you. I would not call it harsh but that will also depend on the Nic level and the flavor being used. I use menthol so I get a stronger TH right off the start. The expected battery life will depend on the usage but figure it to be just as any other battery 3-4 months of use. If you are a heavy vaper as I am, I expect 2-3 months. But with the set up you do get 2 batteries so you can think of doubling that time frame as an estimate if switching back and forth between batteries.

As for the TH I'd imagine it would vary from using the 510 on the eGo to using the cartos on the eGo so someone who has used them will have to let you know if the TH they get is different than using a carto on a stock batt. When using the 510 on the eGo though I'd agree with what Jimi Mack said.

So if it warms the vapor it shouldn't be as harsh I'm guessing. Knowing me I have that backwards. Since the kit comes with an atty, who knows, maybe I will find I actually like them.

Yes.

Other than errant batts that have been returned for warranty replacements, I haven't heard of one dying yet. I'd imagine that they at least last the three month warranty period.

Hey franklyspeaking,
As I thought too, the 3 month warranty for the batts is wrong. I had been told by Ethan, they too have the 6 month warranty like the attys.
It's the only battery that Janty sell's that has 6 months warranty though.
Just a heads up on that..

SkyDragon,

The best advise I can give is to just go buy an eGo. If you look through the reviews you will find that there is really no negatives been said about the operation of an eGo. It is being hailed as the best mass manufactured PV out there. From my own experience I have to agree.

The cone will warm the vapor, now to regard that as harsher or not, is not for one person to tell another. I would not call it harsher, if I had to describe it in words, I would have the say the use of the cone gives the vapor a fuller almost silky feel. Now again that can vary per user and what juice you are using. When someone asks, I have no problem or hesitation in telling them to go to Janty and buy one with full confidence that they will be happy with the choice. I really believe the hardest thing you will have with an eGo is choosing what color and if you want an Auto or Manual.

Now that is something to take "NOTE" about.

I use two different types of cartos on my eGo (in addition to the regular atty with a SuperT t-tip for dripping.) I can't tell a whole lot of difference in the warmth of the vapor or in the degree in harshness (none of them seem harsh to me, so maybe it is the juice?) I use the 510 to 801 adaptor with the KR808 cartomizer and a 510 cartomizer.

I believe the batteries are rechargeable like 200 times (I'm actually keeping track but am only up to 9 times so far for each...I switch among all my PVs so I don't use the eGo exclusively).

I saw an old high school friend this weekend who is interested in switching to a PV and I recommended the eGo to her. I like it as well as my big battery mods...yeah, there is less vapor compared to those but for the feel and convenience, I don't think you can beat the eGo.

Hi Jimi Mack,

I know every one is different in how they perceive TH, taste etc but thank you for the replies.

I have an adapter and cartos to use on my eGo at times as well..in reguards to that..I'd say that as far as harshness goes it's not quite as harsh but you'll get a little of that since the eGo (or standard 510 battery for that matter) don't run under load at a true 3.7V but down a little at 3.1V or so..
The cone will prewarm the incoming air...however it needs to also be mentioned that via adapter and the cone that it will stiffen up the draw too...I like this because I find a standard KR8 to be far far too airy for my liking and the adapter and cone fix that for me..it might however be something that you don't like..
