"I guess what I'm really looking for is something I can just grab and go with, without a ton of tinkering to make it work the way I expect it to. "

You and the rest of the world. That is why we are developing a Tesla Filter ( there is a thread in this forum ) - and if you look anywhere else, you have the same problem as ... well everyone else.

Basically - if i was you - i would begin filling my own carts - and keep spares, or (i know you dont want to but..) resort to dripping. Most of these things are a habit - once you know how much it takes before you can then vape for X amount without trouble, then you sort of get the hang of it.

The general point im trying to make is: This is NOT a problem with the Jantystick. Or any other Janty product. This is a "problem" with all e-cigarettes - and one alot of people are trying to sort out.

The mods CAN be a solution, albeit they often require you to try out a few ones, before you find something that wont work forever, but atleast be better than what is right now, or require some maintenance to work properly. The cartomizers so far, - well - i think you should search the forum for threads on it, as there are plenty of them and they can inform you better than i can. But the general idea of cartomizers is just that: A general idea. Most doesnt work that good in the long run - but some have modded them to have them work quite reliably.

So - there is a LOT for you to learn - trust me, we have all been there.

Just hang in there, and keep on reading and learning - its well worth it, for you and your family!

Hey Mik - thank so much for the quick reply and for the encouragement. I'll try to keep working with it and hopefully vaping will eventually supplant my smoking habit.

I hope you realize I didn't mean to critisize Janty in particular - it's just the state of the industry that I'm a bit frustrated with. But I do also understand that this technology is still really in it's infancy - I guess I'm just being a bit impatient. I really am quite impressed by the JS overall, and I have to say that I really like the flavor of those RY4 carts (when I get a decent vape! LOL ;) ).

Man I really wished you had just said "you're doing it all wrong. Do X, Y and Z and you'll be all set.". LOL

Bmanchee, just my .02, but the attys I've gotten recently from Janty aren't wicking the fluid as well as the ones I got from them previously. IMO, you might want to try attys from some other places to see if that improves your experience, at least until Janty looks into this a bit, if they agree. The stick is an awesome thing, once you get it working the way it's supposed to.

Hey everyone,
I just purchased an eGo with automatic batteries. I've been using it for a little less than a week and just today I've noticed a dramatic change in the amount suction I need to produce before the there's any vapor production.

This is happening with both batteries. Any idea what could be causing the problem?

Thanks in advance...

I tried tapping it out as you suggested, borjis. Same thing's happening.

Scottbee, I even tried a couple of brand new atomizers I just received in the mail and I'm having the same problem.

///

Update: I just tried the battery that I've had charging overnight and it's not giving me anything. This is frustrating. I wonder if somehow I inadvertently flooded the batteries?

Oso, it's possible that there is could be some liquid build up on the connection point of the battery. Take a q-tip (I find these work best), remove the atomizer and clean the connection point on the Auto batt and see if that helps. I noticed that this can sometimes effect the performance of my auto batts. Keep me posted!

Ethan:)

Tmbrown - thanks for the info. I've been doing really good dripping lately. Didn't want to deal with the hassle, but it's really not to bad, and quality of the vape is great this way. Thinking of trying the screen filter mod on one of my carts. If that doesn't work I'll probably keep dripping until janty finishes up the Tesla filter (BTW Mik, I finished reading all 4,000,000 pages of the Tesla thread! Woot! :) ) If the screen and the Tesla don't make an improvement, maybe then I'll start looking at the atomizers.

I stopped keeping up with the Tesla thread a while ago, but I thought that was primarily being developed for the 510 atomizer? IMO, the filter mods will not help with your problem. I think the mesh that surrounds the coil is too dense to wick the juice well enough. Dripping solves the problem because it pretty much wets the coil directly.

Hi Everyone,
Well, I did it again.
I just cannot bring myself to do a video review of the Auto Battery Set of the eGo.
Why? Well, its simple, really..
I have a better feel for the Auto Batt and all, but still the LED isn't bright enough and the draw is so much better than the single batt I got. I find it hard, for me anyways, to like the Auto Battery. The cut off is too quick. The Manual Batt is set @ 17 seconds. The Auto is set @ 3 to 5 seconds and to me just not long enough (for me I don't get enough vapor)
If you like the Auto Batteries of the 510 or similar, you WILL like the Auto Batt's of the eGo..
Two thumbs up! I would highly recommend this to vaporer's that love Auto Batt's, but for me, I need to be in control of the amount of time I vape and how the taste is (warm and flavorful with the manual battery) I just don't seem to get that from the Auto Batteries..
So, go get yourself the Auto if thats what you have been waiting for. Me? I will stick with the Manual Batt's and the 17 second cut off with the eGo.
I will end this now and I am anxously waiting for the Tesla Filter and the Baby J to come out...
The idea of a 4.5v with the PT in the Battery (used to charge up the battery).. Sounds like another winner from Janty World!!
