They look the same, unfortunately, they are not - one, the Dura, charges the batteries with ~150mAh, the eGo one with 420.

Meaning, you can charge an eGo in a Dura charger, but it will be slow. If you try a Dura battery in an eGo charger, it will be toast.

Mark them carefully. The ego chargre says "output 420 mAh" on the back, don't put ordinary 510 batteries into it.

It really doesn't say so in the instructions in the eGo set, just checked myself. And no warning elsewhere, either. Might be a good idea to add it, not everybody reads the forums.

Even better idea: Make the eGo charger in a different colour and/or write onto it "eGo only!" People who use both a normal 510 USB-charger and an eGo charger are bound to confuse them.

yep it confused me.

you guys should put a decal on it that says EGO only.

On another note count another satisfied EGO owner.
I was a Dura user over the last year. always had to bring
in 2 batteries to work, always had one on the charger.

not with the Ego. I vaped 9am to 9pm on and off and the battery needed
a charge after. way cool!!

It's a great piece of kit and was supplied by iVapour UK (who efficiently replaced 1st one immediately:)) but obviously it's gonna be a pain for me (and Toby) to keep replacing them every couple of weeks, hence the batch question. I should say, I've eliminated atty/battery/connections - does seem to be the unit itself and it cuts out when on usb as well.

Impex, - im glad to hear that Toby is helping you sort this out, however keep in mind that this is a forum for Jantyworld - ie. customers who bought their stuff from there.

Ofcourse i see why you posted here; to ask if it might have been a bad batch, but from our knowledge this is not the case. So i encourage you to continue any support related questions with Toby, and not on here. I hope you understand! ;)

I think I am with StuBear62 on this, I am not a big fan of the cutoff, it is very much like the auto on my kissbox, I have adapted the "harmonica draw" that Mik is talking about, and it is actually very efficient for keeping a auto going, but I really think that the cutoff could be extended a bit, after my ego auto battery died, Ethan said the would replace it with a new manual.

If Janty decides to extend the cutoff a bit... say to the same duration of the 901 I would be going pure auto.

My KB auto is good for my 40 minute drive to work... no taking the hands off the wheel when driving.

I clean my batterys before using the charger every single time i charge, never had one problem with anything like that.

might disconnect your charger as well and clean it from the sound of things.8-o

I do the same thing, I make sure that the center contact and the threads are completely clean prior to charging any battery, and even when changing battery/atty's.
