Just tried the Janty branded atty that came with the Ego on a 510 battery and it works fine, unsurprisingly, there shouldn't be any technical difference between the Janty branded and vanilla Joye 510's. Probably some dirt/juice issue since the connection on the Ego has a greater surface area it might be that its making a better connection. Get some kitchen roll and clean the threads. Have you tried the 510 battery on another atty?

Hm.. im not sure to be honest.

I dont think it will be a problem, but it would probably charge very very slow. The eGo charger is designed to charge pretty fast, - and with a normal dura charger on the eGo it would take around 6 hours, so..

But - let me state right now that i am NOT saying you should try; cause i sincerely dont know if it will work, not work, or burn down your car.

Your best bet is to mail the shop, and they can then mail the factory and give you an answer, but in order to do this you need to supply them with the exact specs for your car charger!

You confused me now hehe.

I will find a picture..

These are the same no matter what correct? The shops still list them as Dura/Fogger cables, but I am assuming they will work on the eGo wall plug correct?

Yes I have cleaned the batteries and other atties work fine on them and vice versa, the only one that doesn't is the Janty. It's not really a problem, I was just wondering if there were any differences.

I might add, I love the eGo it is my primary pv.

What you linked there IS the charger.

If you use the eGo one for the DURA, it will blow up the DURA (possibly)

If you use the DURA one for the eGo, it will take 6 hours to charge one battery ( slow )

Hope that makes sense. The difference is on the back of them - how fast they charge - the dura cannot handle the egos fast charging, and vice versa the duras charger is underpowered in terms of charging the egos fast.

I hope that makes sense - and i am trying to get the factories to put the name eGo on the chargers now!

Short answer - the same 3.7v.

Long answer - Both, when fully charged will be about 4.2v. The Ego batt, being a higher mAh rating will maintain that freshly charged level longer.

Part of that long answer, Pete. I have yet to see either of my eGo batteries charge much above 4.08V or so. I can routinely charge my standard 510 batteries to 4.25 or so.

Word is starting to filter down than the eGo cell is a special one. It has been designed to better withstand the 2 amp draw of the 510 atty. Thus, the longer than easily believable life. There is a PCB within the battery that prevents it from obtaining the 4.2-ish peak voltage that we see from standard 510s (and mod batteries for that matter) and allows it to deliver more amperage on demand as the voltage wears down to 3.5V or so.

Short answer 4.2-ish volts, yes. Long answer -- this is not your father's flashlight battery. =)
