Hi Nuck, yeah darn I didn't see that. Oh well..

Anyway, the point is, no one can make these kind of claims. You cannot even claim that vaping is healthy or healthier. By linking from a thread title such as "ecig in jeopardy" which calls to be clicked on and then simply linking to your own SALES website on which on top of that you find these kind of claims is not only irresponsible, it is also not done and it shows the total lack of respect for consumers.

If for any reason the FDA would want to ban, these kind of claims would be the main reason.

it is not because you add 3 lines at the bottom! of your website stating you do not sell to minors etc that you are good to make whatever other claims.

These kind of posts make me so mad, yes! I have been in the community over 3 years now and I have seen many opportunist suppliers come and go, but making these kind of claims really beats all.

Screaming threads about fighting FDA and the such are not helping either. What suppliers must do is to become responsible for their acts and their claims.

FDA has not disapproved or approved anything, until they approve or disapprove you can only do as much as complying with Trading Standards, for example the UK trading standards, one of the most severe ones.

No supplier and no forum has any power over government decisions, screaming will only make it worse. FDA will ask the opinion of more then one doctor or organisation you know.

Is there a difference between the manual and automatic, besides the obvious? I've seen e-cigs with both and it appears most people prefer the manual. Being new to this can someone explain why one, manual or automatic, is better than the other or is it simply just a personal preference. Is there an advantage to one over the other?

These devices vaporize a liquid. Liquid has a tendency to flow through holes and go pretty much anyplace there is access.

The autoswitches themselves are essentialy little flappers (like thing that hold the water in your toilet until you flush) it is the airflow of you sucking on the cart that pulls that flapper up to complete the circuit that makes the power go from the battery to the atomozer.

Because of the need for airflow to reach the flapper you have to have a hole into the autoswitch. That means that e-liquid can potentially get into that hole and gum up the works killing the switch by preventing it from being able to complete the circuit.

Manual switches forgo the need for an airhole into the switch/battery area which puts a stop to that.

This is particularly a problem when dripping because it is a certainty that one is going to get some juice into the hole and down to the switch creating a scenario that can lead to failure.

Additionally if I understand things properly the Manual switch allows people to "cook" the juice a bit longer increasing it's temperature and providing a better throat hit.

The advantage of the autoswitch being that you can just stick the device in your mouth like a conventional cig and "smoke" with both hands free.

I'm glad to hear that the LED is going to work on the manual version of the Stick so far that seems to be the only "flaw" I've found in the Kissbox design.

From what I can see the Stick is essentially a larger version of the switches thare are sold with the Kissbox extended. Take the guts of the switch combine it with the guts of the USB-E pass-through shoehorn it all into an interesting case and violla one Jantystick. Capital idea IMO.

Atomizer life will be the same as with other penstyles, Battery replacement both for users outside of warranty and Janty under warranty will be far cheaper. Even better it's possible that the case itself may be serviceable so when one is shipped back for warranty failure pop it open replace the failed compentry and ship it back out as an RMA replacement.

The only thing I think that would make this better is if they sent me a free sample.

The FDA is in place to protect the consumer so, yeah, anytime false claims are made that's an open invitation for them to step in for verification. Anyone with an ounce of marketing savvy knows that is the cause for the abundant overuse of the word "virtually". eg, virtually odor-free

You are not entirely correct. The FTC is the group that decides whether or not marketing claims are true or flase. The FDA has no jurisdiction over nicotine, yet. One of the main arguements against having the FDA rule over nicotine as a drug is that the FDA presides over drugs and delivery systems that are healthy or that promote health. Nicotine is neither. If they get to rule over nicotine, that would be a huge departure from their current scope of activity.

Ludo,

Is there a deadline as to when we must sumit our custom logo? I can't decide what to put yet and didn't send anything with the order. Also, will there be a confirmation for those that get in on the first 100 JantySticks stating serial number? Just curious, based on order #3416 getting #1 I shoud be #20. Something about a nice even number like that sounds good..lol

Thanks
-Larry
