I haven't had any issues with flooding either, but I use the same method that TheBloke uses, cutting the wick flush with the outer diameter.

black oring around the base of the deck...its really loose fitting and I have been wondering if it really needs to be there. Sounds like it isnt!!
Oh dear. Maybe it's a spare that fell in the deck or something. Might explain my JF issues... Too funny!!Mine didn't come with an O- ring and it's been fine.
I had it in there and it was hitting TP pretty quick. Just took it out and all is very fine. If it's supposed to be ther I have no idea why!! It's night and day difference on mine at least!Nah I think you're right that it goes there. I definitely had one left over after I dismantled, and I tried putting it just about everywhere else with no success. I just put it around the deck as you showed and it does indeed fit there loosely. I don't feel it's that necessary, as I didn't have it on before with no issues - and same with Grrr - but may as well put it where it was meant to be rather than it sitting on my desk to get lost.
Besides which, it does seem to be clearly shown in that photo.
Thanks!
When I looked at the wick after using it with the ring on, it was almost dry. If not for TP I would have been vaping cotton fumes!!Ah interesting, I haven't actually vaped on it with it in yet. I'll have a go

No mate. I think it's an orphan!! Bless it!! Probs he is putting them in the new decks and just lobbed them in with the last batch of old decks?!?Oh OK. So I still have a mystery o-ring then! When I next dismantle I'll take a pic, maybe you guys can spot where I'm missing it from.
Doubt it's the wire. Check your 510!I didn't receive an O-ring with mine either. Just rebuilt it with Ti and the vape is incredible - full of flavor. I am a bit confused, though. I connected it to my IPV4 and it kept reading Dry Coil, although the coil was saturated. Moved it over to my rDNA40 and had no issues. This is the first time I've used Ti wire - any suggestions?
I checked the 510 on the IPV4 and on the Merkava - cleaned both and extended the 510 on the Merkava - still getting the Dry Coil message. But it works fine on the rDNA 40.Doubt it's the wire. Check your 510!
