It's time for me to go but I thank each and everyone of you
excellent help

Great pic, very helpful. My tails might be too unruly. I'm going back in to give 'em a tuck!70vg here.

That's what mine are doing. Hmm, very helpful, thx.The cotton isnt passed the holes on mine. It's fluffed out, partially in the cups and completely covers the tops of the wells and part of the deck.
That's strange it fell all the way down there. Mine is in pieces in the sink right now soaking. I am getting ready to rebuild it. Not sure what kind of coil I want to do this time.Washed my merlin, re-wired and wicked it and had a massive leak after all this talk.... figured I messed up the wicks, opened it to drain the juice so I could re-wick it and found that stupid center/small o-ring stuck in one of the juice fill slots nearly all the way down in the tank. Grabbed it out and placed it properly, refilled the tank and all is good again. It must have stuck to the top cover when filling it and fell off as I was putting the cap on.
Vaping like a champ now with this 0.21 ohm single coil hive wire.
I kept the tails loose and fluffy. Pushed them down and it does appear that they are covering the JF holes. Maybe I need to shorten the tails more?
This seems to have solved it for me. I shortened the tails so they went about half way down the juice holes and thinned/tapered my tails more. I am still trying to get used to Rayon wicks. Luckily I had only recently started building RTA's so it won't take me long to forget what I learned for cotton wicks.I never completely cover the juice holes. I have the tails right at the top of the juice holes. No leaks, no dry hits ever. I don't think there is any one right way.
If I don't have my juice holes totally covered, they will leak out the air holes.I never completely cover the juice holes. I have the tails right at the top of the juice holes. No leaks, no dry hits ever. I don't think there is any one right way.
Will augvape warranty replace a tank that has the smoked coating peeling off?

Lol I will im actually a little irritated that it did that. When I bought my lavatube I had them replace it over a rather small but dark scratch. Why don't you write them and let us know?
This is how I do it. Little in the cup, the rest on top of the cup and on the deck.I never completely cover the juice holes. I have the tails right at the top of the juice holes. No leaks, no dry hits ever. I don't think there is any one right way.
Differences in juice viscosity. 100%pg is thin.If I don't have my juice holes totally covered, they will leak out the air holes.
YesumBe certain to keep the inside of the wick away from the air hole.
I was suspicious of that o-ring right from the start. Mine came off, too, when I first took it apart. That's strange it fell all the way down there. Mine is in pieces in the sink right now soaking. I am getting ready to rebuild it. Not sure what kind of coil I want to do this time.
I usually don't buy anything but ss however, my tank is secondhand and black. I also noticed the coating coming off of the glass. When inspecting the o-rings and threads, I also noticed the black finish coming off of the threads on the bottom, where the deck screws in. If I get a new glass tank it's going to be clear so I can see what's going on in there. When my wick darkens I strain to see the JFC holes. To me, that's an unnecessary inconvenience. Not to mention trying to see black o-rings on a black finish. What is this finish, anyway? Lol, hope I'm not vaping it!Will augvape warranty replace a tank that has the smoked coating peeling off?
