Both my Merlins came from a ECF coop. I had no reason to question their authenticity or the authenticity of any gear that I have bought from ECF coops. Everything I've received has been spot on and most of the items I'm still using. I really doubt that different batches, vendors or countries would make a difference in the quality of the product. Augvape pushed out a substandard product thats all there is too it.

    Somewhere between here and there
This wasn't pondered right off the bat. Either way, the only reason I brought it up was because we were discussing possible clones.

I'm not placing blame. I went with efun because they were the cheapest and I always look for a deal. In this case, wasn't quite as good of a deal as I thought.

Merlin wasn't cloned, Merlin Mini has been. Just because Augvape didn't sell them to Efun does not mean they were clones, China sites constantly buy from third parties, some manufacturers won't even sell to FT Aspire is one. Efun never adhered to Augvape's MAP policy it is why they were cheaper from them. Also the reason Augvape never sold to them.

fasttech started off playing with discount codes and a reduced price, obviously Augvape got on them about it, and the prices went up to meet Augvape's price fixing policy.

    What's an ECF Coop, anyway?

Its in the classified and swaps section. Its where a runner or a fellow member would set up a group buy of some sort of vape gear and we all would buy at a lesser than vendor price. For me being in Canada it saved me more than half price vs Canadian prices on almost every coop I was in. I've bought virtually all my hitters, batteries, wicking and some other assorted items from these group buys knowing I wasn't getting a clone or bait and switched and being disappointment when I open my vapemail. The FDA bullschite quickly put a stop to coops and we may never see them again unless the laws get changed...I dunno. Other than juice that I bought before I went into DIY and now concentrates I haven't bought any gear from a vendor other than when I first began vaping, got bait and switched by them then discovered coops and been in @40 of them and always a happy ending.

It's all a matter of Taste... Some people can taste things more than others with different tanks, wire and wicks. No one is the same. I only vape a few different Tobacco flavors. I can't stand vaping fruits and cakes etc.
If you vape NETs those can tell you what a really good tank for subtle differences in flavor is. If you vape strong fruity flavors vaping through straw would taste good lol :D

    I Never tried NETs.

I tried some fruity flavors and I didn't like them at all.

I smoked Marlboro reds for 25 years and the tobacco flavors I've been using for about 6 years now are great tasting to me. I just love a good tasting tobacco flavor.

This is correct about FT and price fixing.

Also, I don't correlate peoples leaking with anything but the pressfit nowadays. Which is why I usually recommend a different tank now. Haven't used mine in a bit due to buying other tanks and putting them through their paces. I'll break them back out at some point because the vape is great.
Just did the same about a month ago with my Belluses/Belli?... and it's back in rotation.

    Love this thread too.

Any good juice recommendations Rick ?
I am a very picky vaper. Out of the hundreds of Tobacco liquids I have tried I only liked 3 and one of them is no longer available. The store just decided to stop selling that brand. I was buying that liquid for 6 years too.

Thats 1 more than I kinda liked. The 2 were Hangsen Highway but it was sharp being 70pg and Yaeliq Cuban Cigar but it went to syrup after I got through 80 of the 100ml. I couldn't figure out the smell to replicate it but it was like catnip to me. I still have a bit of that cuban cigar just incase I find something to use to make it. Highway being in my first concentrate purchase led me to HS desert ship and No5 and those 3 have my staple vapes since DIY day#1. The RTS TA also I stocked up with 500mls, using 2-3% its going to last a while.
I would get the juice vapemail, all I did was open the jug and smell then toss aside and never vape most of the tobacco commercial juice...lots of wasted money I spent on juices.

I really need to figure out how to make my own. My wife only Vapes tobacco also but she's not as picky as me. The funny thing about my favs is they really don't taste like cigarettes. I wish I could explain it but I can't. I just love these.

There's really nothing to figure out..Quart of PG, VG and prolly 100nic and a few Hangsen tobac concentrates from either BullCity or RTS. A scale or syringes and you'll never look back. My first 2 years of vaping was misery with disappointment after disappointment with commercial juices. My first highway DIY was 6% and that hooked me and 2 years of vaping those 3 hangsen tobacs and RTS TA and never get sick of the taste. I have branched out a bit with other tobacs and even built a NET but always go back to Hangsen as my ADV.

You have to help me... Can you please show me the stuff I need? I have thought about this for a long time. While searching for all the ingredients I always got lost and quit. I think my biggest problem will be finding a flavor like the ones I use daily.

DIY is definitely the way to go. Dead simple to actually do, and cuts your vape expenses by ~90% (the better to spend on mods and tanks ;) ). You can mix by weight or volume. I like volume (syringes) but both will get you to the same place.

You need nic, VG, and PG. After that, you need recipes and the flavorings to make them. Beats what I did in buying a bunch of flavorings with no idea how to turn them into anything. check out the DIY section here with really helpful threads and a subforum of just recipes.
