Anyone know if the pyrex tanks on these get etched or or anything as a result of acidic flavorings? Like lemon. Or maybe that was just with the plastic ones??
Grrr. like every other tank I own. Kayfun and a mesh wick rssssssst or something. I'll just sacrifice the kayfun for tasting I guess. I think the mesh wick one would be bad for flavor. I might buy a second Merlin, I could start to see the need in having 2 of them now. When I first started vaping Kayfun was the big hype at the time for flavor and whatnot, but IMO the Merlin is like a billion times better at juice flow, wicking, air flow, and flavor.Glass is safe with any juice. It's plastic that you have to be careful with.

Got a picture of that build Rick?I'm on 6 refills on each my Merlins using Ekowool and it's working great. I have not done a dry burn yet. The wicks are staying clean and no build up on the coils either.
×2 @ricksGot a picture of that build Rick?
I have 2.5mm and 3mm Ekowool.

I moved mine closer and the flavor got alot better but I also changed the resistance and airflow. Next time I will just try moving the coil I will keep you posted.Just cleaned and dry burned both mine. I lowered my coils as close as possible to see if the flavor is any different. Where do you have your coils in the Merlins? I'm finding a little more flavor with them closer to the air hole.
I still have that notch that came with the tank in. The coil was a little too wide and the leads had to kinda bend inward then out to fit. But I have them in the top screws of the post. Will this thing short out if the coil touches the airflow insert? If the carbon builds up enough is that enough to make a connection?Just cleaned and dry burned both mine. Does subtank supply (or any reputable dealer) have the new base in stock? I'm gonna order another today but I'm done with the seeping of the old style. Thanks
Okay, Thanks. Someone earlier mentioned square juice flow holes.Efun.top has the new version for 15.99$ if you don't mind waiting 7-14 days.
@trentenmarschel the new version has square juice holes on the chimney and base.
