Just put a new coil on that I built yesterday with the clear glass tank. I think it looks good. Other than the scratches and it being dirty from scraping the tinting off. But if anyone finds a site that sells real colored glass that fits I would like to buy a fogged or smoked glass for it.

    Somewhere between here and there
I pulled a real dummy move this morning. I had filled my merlin up last night and was on my way to work and was getting really weak hits so figured it was probably time to rewick again. I was stopped at a light so I switched from temp control to wattage mode and took a big drag. Burnt cotton. I had evidently forgotten to open the juice holes back up after filling.

Has anyone attempted to adjust the coil with juice in the tank? I have a compressed coil in there and it feels like it needs to be spaced apart a little. I was wondering if anyone has tried closing the juice holes, vaping until the wick is almost completely dry, Then flipping the tank upside down and unscrewing the deck to adjust things without having to remove all the juice from the tank.

You can remove the deck with the juice in. I never empty mine except when I wash the tank.

Lol! Hope you had more cotton at work!

Yes, I keep a pack of cotton and extra wire at work in a desk drawer.

    Yes.

I've done that once...may be twice.......ok at least 4 when in a hurry. This tank really came to life when I put a twisted 3mm 403 stainless coil and stuck it on the DNA133. The aggravation now is that juice pools under the atty after vaping for a while. More/thicker cotton in the coil??? Using 70%vg juice...and the wick isn't tiny by any means.

    :tumble:

We all must be enjoying, as the Merlin's be working fine and vaping excellent! :D :vapor:
Works great other than the tinting. But I am going to take the tint off of all my tanks. Also When I emailed subtank and asked them for some spare clear glass for it, I got a shipping confirmation email that listed the whole tank setup in black for $25.99. It should be here tomorrow, but It looks like they just sent me a whole new tank rather than just the clear glass, but If that's the case, then cool. I can just remove the tint off the new glass and use the one that looks the best with the least amount of defects in it.

Most of the new black merlin kits are coming with a tinted glass and a clear glass
Lol, that's probably a better idea anyway. I never figured when I bought it that the tinted glass was that easy to peel off. I still think the clear glass looks great on the black.

Just got my new glass for it today. I'll have to wait till I rebuild a coil and put it in.
