The RSST was my first (and still only) RBA. When I got it, I was used to rebuilding my Protank coils, so I already had a roll of 32 gauge Kanthal wire.
I ordered some 400 mesh off of eBay. 3 wraps left me with 1.5 ohms.

I run the same setup, it's great. At 1.5 ohms you can still fire on a regulated device with no problems. I have a mech but notice as the battery drains the throat hit an flavor reduce. I use it on a Provari and the voltage stays steady until the battery dies making the vape more consistent.

mine works best with 400 mesh and 0.5x0.1 flat wire. also dont lose the tiny refilling hole cap, i lost mine and its been leaking in my pocket ever since :(

I'm using 70/30 pg/VG juice , that's why I was recommended to go #500 mesh.

For the hole cap you can try some small nylon screw they should work pretty good.

Thanks,

I'm new to the Rebuildables as well
And have an aga t2 trying to find the best build
What is the difference between 400 and 500 mesh?

I use mostly 50/50 but also some 70/30
would I use different 400/500 for each or would one work better for both?

Also would you guys say the 1/16 air hole is very airy or just perfect?

I emailer pbusardo about the mesh and he told me to use 500 in my 70/30 blend. also in one of his vide he do some test and found mesh 500 better for thin liquids and 400 for thicker,

For the hole if you are use to get the tight draw of a vivi nova you will found the 1/16 hole a "loose" draw, airy is not the correct term in this case because with a good coil you will get a huge cloud of vapor, airy is more like a draw with lot of air and less vapor

For sure my RSST is a loose draw now but the amount of vapor is so good now,
