mesh wicks

Can anyone confirm I usually build my mesh wick about an inch wide then wrap it around a paperclip to make a tube. The other day while messing about I cut it about half an inch then rolled it. When I vaped it the vape cloud wasn't half as good is that due to the wick being thinner.

It's because it's not wicking as well and there's not as much juice on your coil. Go back to the bigger piece.
