I truly pleased to see this thread being started. I am new at vaping and I agree the listed ingredients for juices would be absolutely perfect. I have food allergies, especially when it comes to dyes and colours.

As with any food product for consumption - listing the ingredients, percentages and the actual type of nicotine, glycol used would be truly appreciated.

Food for thought!

Sitting down, facing forward.
Time to throw out the shameless plug: The Vapor Room ....One of the ECF suppliers. I haven't seen them mentioned in this thread, but they provide a lot of what have been mentioned here. Free 15ml sample with the 1st order and 3ml sample with every order. You tell what you want to try in the comment section. Glass bottles(optional) and flavor shots(with color coded caps). Lots of info on the label...except dates. Sales every weekend on E-juice. A 5 pack of 6ml samples where you pick all 5.
On the downside, there is no info on the description of flavors.

I am not affiliated with TVR, they just get most of my vaping budget. I found their store front, bought my starter kit there, and have been analog free for a month. Great people, give them a look!

Based on this review, I checked it out and just ordered a sample pack of tobacco flavors. Looks like plastic bottle, but what the heck for samples. To me, any vendor that is "open" a few hours at a time every so often at no particular time is busy pulling everyones chain to sell their product. Hype is a wonderful thing as a marketing tool when all else fails.

Hey Mr. Mann. This thread is getting long, you gonna index or consolidate like in the DID thread?

I thought about it! LOL. Maybe a list of our demands (like any of us really would hold our money hostage!) hahaha It's funny that you came over here because I am always up in the e-liquid discussion, but The DID thread feels like the other side of town. (I love that side of town BTW! ;) )

Maybe it leads to a rating system for vendors. How do the match up to the top 10 "requests". Maybe it would be incentive to using some of these if there was visibility. I'd be more inclined to buy from a 10* vendor than a 3*...

Very interesting CW, very interesting....

" I am not the government of the thread, I do volunteer work, or better yet, community service...like most of us do." Mr. Mann

A little community service announcement.

Mr. Mann's call for transparency needs to be echoed louder to the E-juice producing community.
I just spent about six hours digging through "scientific" reports online. I came to the following conclusions (in case you were wondering, yes, I love to jump to them).

Studies and surveys generally reveal the following.
We vapers love vaping.
We think vaping is great and don't want regulation, laws or taxes to stop us from enjoying it.
We think the overall quality of the devices we use is not good
We are very concerned about the contents of the juice we consume

Some anti-smoking groups and some government agencies are using that concern as a call for regulation.
I think we could slow it down if the e-juice vendors were more transparent and forthcoming about what is in their juice.

I don't really care about the percentage of each ingredient (protect recipe) but think we can and should start demanding to know exactly what is in the juice, how it is made and how they keep it safe from contamination.

Nice! It was never my intent to ruffle feathers or to put vendors on the hotseat. I think the point is for us to not just act as if ignorance is bliss and that we should be okay with the hidden. Of course everything can't be revealed, won't be revealed, and some may even be exaggerated; but, we can at least let vendors know that we speak with y(our) money and word of mouth for those that are transparent--the message to vendors shall be loud and echo-y ;). All it takes is for one vendor to get recognized for this or that and you will see others fall in line. It's the same as flavors, once a vendor thinks there is a market for Snickerdoodle, or NETs, you will see more offering it. If vendors start doing youtube videos, WHICH WOULD BE SO DAMN EASY BTW, you may see others stepping out from behind the curtain. When I go out to eat, I always sneak a peek at the kitchen when possible!

But then again, I am sure some would like to let sleeping dogs lie, or as I like to think about it...

The way I see it is no matter how loud we try to convey our suggestions and wants, the e-liquid vendors who give a hoot about their customers and businesses will check this thread out, the other vendors will just pass it up. When all is said and done, I know who is getting, and will continue to get, my business.

Yep! The ones who give a hoot!

It's all good. Your dollars are one of the loudest things on the planet. More influence and probably louder than any rhetoric on any forum, even this one.

I think too, people need to understand how large this forum is and how quickly things move. I highly doubt the "gub-ment" is watching this thread! I do know that vendors are though...Lets not forget as well, that we are constantly advertising free of charge for these vendors. Speak positively about one and you have effectively made them a quick buck. That is why certain vendors I used to love just don't get mentioned by me anymore. Yeah, they are not hurting for my business, but I am not so blind as to see that I can cause a bit of a ripple effect. So, you can keep silent with your money and your mouth/keyboard and the positive inverse. I truly believe some of the newer vendors are the ones with their ears to the ground and they are setting some new standards for cs and access. Gone are the days when my vendors were insulated from me, the customer. My favorite vendors and I talk about a lot, and I can honestly say we have working relationships.

Dear Mr. Mann,

You know I'm a fan. And if I can make the rest of this post rhyme, I... will. Dammit!

I've read through some of this thread, and I gotta say that there's some really great stuff here. One of my reactions is to plan on making all my own flavor extracts using ingredients that I purchase from farmers' markets and the like, and PG and VG and nicotine from reputable, reliable sources.

The reality is that, while I DIY and I love doing so for so many reasons, I will probably always buy juice from vendors. At least a little here and there, especially tobaccos (I don't see myself making my own tobacco extracts). The two vendors I go to the most for juice are EC Blend and The Vapor Room. One of them has warnings and mixing dates and ingredients and disclosures on their site and on their juice bottles. One kinda doesn't. I love both, almost equally. My love is a result of their prices (being honest), the quality of their juices, and their customer service. One is transparent, one is less transparent. I have no idea what kind of argument I'm trying to make here. I'm pretty much rambling (the kid is out with her mom for the evening, and dad had a couple beers). :p

I just wanted to say that this thread is awesome, and a great idea, and that all juice vendors should be looking (and listening) very closely. :toast:

Special note: The juice vendor that doesn't have all the warnings and information all over their bottles and site is in the process of doing just that. I wonder if they've seen this thread... Hup hup!

This isn't so much of message to e-liquid vendors, but a gripe with one in particular.

I cannot stand inconsistent batches! If I bought a juice that I loved and the subsequent purchases are all hit or miss, why am I still buying it? I don't know why (I guess I held out hope), but I can tell you I won't anymore. Please shoot for consistency or risk losing loyal customers. I think there is nothing worse than bad batches of a juice that carry the name of a once beloved offering.
