Okay, so I just placed an order at my favorite vendor and used the standard ECF10. Here's my problem..

Message To e-liquid vendors: I know of only one vendor that rewards customers with automatic discounts built into their system for frequent buyers. If I have spent hundreds of dollars with you, shouldn't I get a better discount than someone that spent $5 with you? I am starting to look at some of you all as dealers more than vendors (if you catch my drift?!). Please start to reward frequent purchasers! I know all about the savings of DIY, but I don't want to talk about DIY, this about eliquid vendors.

Just as a note: Im not a vendor but I do alot of website work. The majority of the commerce sites dont easily give a method to effectively reward frequent buyers. Most of them are clunky or completely useless in terms of actually doing it. The extreme difficulty alot of vendors have with CC processing severely limits which cart software they can use. Ive consulted several vendors on sites and rewards are something all of them want. Its just a matter of how.

One, that ive only seen recently, that works very well, is the new system madvapes has on their site. It works well and is very simple to use.

All of that said, I totally agree. :) I think in the coming year we will see alot more vendors migrating around through different carts. The carts that work cost a good bit but in the end will keep customers.

I'm not sure if this is true about the new madvapes system, I rarely order anything from them anymore, but the old system really irked me. I would occasionally get a coupon from them in their newsletter, but I couldn't use both the coupon and my points on the same purchase. It kind of defeated the purpose of the coupon (to me). They may have changed that, I don't know. I know the new system is a "discount as you go" rather than "build up a bunch of points till you can buy a discount coupon", which is definitely better.

I don't know what cc processing Ahlusion uses (I didn't want to name them) but about a week ago I went ahead and posted that their prices dropped 9%. Well, as it turns out, their priced did and didn't drop 9%. They dropped for me, but not necessarily everybody's computer. After you spend a certain amount at Ahlusion your prices will start to drop. It should be noted, too, that after you buy from Ahlusion, you get a discount code that works for up to 10 days after the email is sent that will get an additional 15% off (even in addition to the rewards rates.)

It appears that they use virtuemart for their cart. Virtuemart will do almost any processor. Quite honestly it is amazing to see a virtuemart implementation so well done. Working with their software is a nightmare.

Anyway I dont want to get off track. I think this thread is pretty amazing.

SNIFF. I feel unloved by Wlad and Ally. (I've never received such an email.) Perhaps I need to get busy and do some real reviews of their fabulous juices!

I am on a vaping budget, and spending my weekly juice money on a "mystery" juice is a gamble. A description like this: "a delicious medley of fruits" or "a blend of blueberry and other fruits" just irritates me. Some vendors are worse offenders than others. One that I am thinking of repeatedly has descriptions like "another melange of delicious fruit", "another unique blend of fruits".

Think about a restaurant. They wouldn't say, "It's chicken and a bunch of other secret things we don't want to tell you." The menu gives you a good idea of what is in a dish. The server will give you more info if you ask. And if they aren't sure, they will ask the chef. Why? Because if you know what you are ordering you more likely to be pleased with your purchase.

Also, you avoid unhappy customers who ordered a juice because it said blueberry, the picture was of a blueberry, but SURPRISE it actually tastes like pineapple. Apparently, pineapple was one of the "other fruits".

If you are secure in the fact that your customer service, flavor sources, bases, and gourmet blends are top notch, you shouldn't be afraid to list a full flavor profile.

Amen! Just today I vaped a new juice where the description said, in part, "mystery" ...yet I still ordered it. It was definitely a mystery to me  and I will not order THAT one again

Johnson Creek (link)

Original air date: July 19, 2010. "Sleeping dogs lie," and confident vendors are transparent.

TBinAZ, I am not the government of the thread, I do volunteer work, or better yet, community service...like most of us do.

Thanks! Now I have to place an order with Johnson Creek. I love transparency. :D

If you have never bought from Quick nic Juice Quality E-liquid. Made In The USA, I urge you to give them a try. The website addresses most of the concerns I have seen here. The shipping is lightening fast. The products are superb. I have ordered from them since last winter, and I have never had even one disappointment.

Ok sherid... so I clicked that link and realized that the first thing I do when I'm on a website is look for a physical location, like an address perhaps? A post office box? Which city or state? Just curious where I'm buying from, that's all. Did I miss it?

Then I look at the ejuice PG/VG options. If they don't offer choices for VG based, give a High VG ratio option or mention that the juice could contain up to 20% PG, then I won't even try it. Sorry, I don't want all PG or even 50% PG, it's too much for me.

I look at the "About Us" and I think it's nice when they have names and not just a "couple of ex-smokers..."

Now that I've read a few pages of this thread, I'm thinking it would be GREAT if the site mentions that each order will receive a free 3ml sample of my choosing!
The link above that I just clicked on does not offer free samples, or a discount for first orders.

Great thread Mr. Mann! I think I clicked the "like" button hundreds of times in the past couple hours LOL. I'm going to be looking for specific things from vendors for my future purchases thanks to you and other posters here. :)

Ok perfect example of what not to do....halo offered me free samples, awesome! When I asked what the pg/vg ratio was I was informed they will not release the pg/vg ratio of their formulas!!! What? Are you kidding? Anything more than 40% pg and after a few hours I have a sore throat and feel like crap. And I'll feel like this for about 2 days afterwards. Gee thanks halo your free samples are likely to go from my mailbox to trash can.

Same here Dantes! I was browing a Halo thread and got a pm for 2 free juices of my choice. I immediately asked if they had VG or high VG ratio juices and got the response about not divulging their PG/VG propietary ratios. sheesh gimme a break

Proprietary PG/VG ratios? Are you serious?

I'd like add something. If you are going to e-mail us a discount code, please make sure the discount code actually works.
and points are neat but we figure out pretty soon that we need to spend a lot to get a little. An instant loyalty discount like the one Mr. Mann mentioned above would probably make us happier.

I am sitting here staring at my first Ahlusions order. Trying to be a good boy and let it steep. Been a whole 2 hours since I opened it and shook it up. But in the meantime..
Their labeling hits a lot of the concerns listed in this thread and their packaging hits a big one, leaking.
I think the shipper would have to roll over it with a truck to get these to leak. Bottles came with the perforated shrink wrap around the tops.
Then they were placed in a zip lock back and sealed. The larger glass bottles came in heat sealed bubble wrap with the shrink wrap on the top and in a ziplock bag.
All of this came in a box with those biodegradable (soybean I think) peanuts cushioning it all.
Very professional start to finish and I am very impressed.

If you like to get your package and be vaping in 15 seconds, don't order form Ahlusion. HAHA. There is a lot of unwrapping and opening. Nothing about those packages comes out of a living room. I am going to have some insight for all to see very soon.

I'm currently shopping for trials as a new vaper and a few things have steered me away from shops, most have been stated already.

But as someone with food allergies, beyond the pg/vg issue, I'd really like to know if that hint of nuts is a 'hint of walnuts' or 'almond finish', since I'm allergic to walnuts, but not almonds.

I'm not the type to say I want to see a health label warning... c'mon I've been smoking for over 20years lol. On that thought, a politically correct generic 'this contains tree nut essence' is just as bad as simply saying 'nutty', which is a pass for me. E-juice isn't cigar afficiando. Being more actually flavor specific in this sense, shoudn't 'give away your secret', and get you additional sales, atleast from me.
