Glad i could help. Its gonna be my on-the-go, eye-catching night out set up once it arrives. I tried modding the pcc last night and am quite excited to see how the nanos would fit.

IMHO, cig-a-like setups are underrated. I have been using mid-tier stuff like novas on a twist for a month now and just successfully set up my first rba which is working beautifully right now, waiting on a VAMO, but still find occasions i want to use cig-a-likes. The idea of picking up a PCC and be good for a night out is appealing, and many of my friends say i look "right" with a cigarette back when i used to smoke. And vaping in a social scene, looks matter.

Hey, no worries jcarax & Racehorse! -I considered the eroll while looking around for something I liked, but I think I'd rather go for simplicity at this stage in the game...

As long as I can handle a cartomizer, I'll be good. Once I've figure out the basics, I can move onto things that are a bit more complicated (2-piece vs 3-piece set-ups & the like)...

Also, quite honestly; the dollar amount was a *big* factor in my initial decision as well. While I understand that (usually) 'you get what you pay for', I am hesitant to go out and spend a good chunk of change on something that I *may* not like...

I have a friend who purchased the Blu Cig starter kit (at what, $80?) a few months back, and still has some cartridges left from her first purchase!

My wife & I are in a bit thin in the checkbook at the moment, so the last thing I wanted to do was spend very much on something I haven't even tried myself... You know?

So, when Vapoor up there linked me to the LF set; I thought that the product looked pretty good, the price was right; and the fact that they took Paypal didn't hurt any either! ;)

I skipped the wall-adapter, as I have *PLENTY* of those (as well as the USB car adapters) lying around from various electical devices I already have... Plus, I've got a computer turned on and running most of the time as well...

Congrats on the purchase and there were many great suggestions given. In regards to plugging directly into the PC usb be aware with some older pcs the MB have gotten damaged- rear ports are generally more safe to use.
Cheers and now the wait begins :D

Got the kit on Monday, just as anticipated.

Stopped by the E-Cig Crib up by my work & picked up a 'sampler' pack of 3 e-liquid (or is 'ejuice' preferred?).

Mtn Duh, Wild Pomegranate, & an "Applewood" tobacco w/ a mid-range level of nicotine... (The first two contain no nicotine, but I find myself going to them more often than the regular tobacco one I *THOUGHT* would have been my 'go-to'!)

My experience with the Starter Kit so far? Pretty positive. (Posted a thread in Liberty-Flights' forum: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/liberty-flights/384833-order-115228-a.html )

At this time, I'm quite happy with the purchase; *ESPECIALLY* for the price paid!

I wish that the PCC would be able to fit an assembled e-Cig, but the battery & cartomizer is a quarter-inch too large to fit assembled. :(
In the meantime, I have a small plastic case that I carry (in the 5th pocket of my jeans), which contains the cartomizers, while one battery stays plugged into the PCC; and an assembled e-cig remains in my pocket. I know this isn't ideal, and am looking to see what I can either whip up or purchase that can hold it all. (Something similar to the style PCC that Blue Cig has, where it holds a complete e-cig, can charge the battery, & hold a cartomizer or three would be ideal!)

My experience with the cartomizers has been positive so far, having been shown a pretty easy trick in order to fill them. -fill one of the rubber endcaps part way, insert cartomizer into the cap, & allow the liquid to which up through the bottom/atomizer. -top off through the top, blow through the end to clear any unsoaked liquid, and you're good-to-go!

However, I *do* sometimes wish (especially as a newbie to this), that I'd like some sort of visual cue when I'm running low on e-liquid; which means I may end up switching to some sort of tank or the V-Nano set-up that was brought up earlier. That way, I'll *KNOW* when I need to refill, instead of finding that I've dried the carto out! (OK, I haven't actually done that yet; as I've only refilled the three cartomizers once each so far! -mostly because I've found myself messing around with them a lot, as they're a new 'toy'...)

:)

3-14-13 Update!

Still happily puffing away on the starter kit & I haven't touched an analog cigarette since I'd received the 510 kit from Liberty-Flights! :)

I've gotten used to the PCC & the smaller plastic card-case to hold my alternate cartomizers with the other flavored e-liquids...

I'm still working on my first 3 'sample pack' bottles of e-liquid, quite surprisingly running rather low on the 0mg Nicotine 'Mountain Duh'; but with a bit more of the of the 0mg Nicotine "Wild Pomegranate" & *QUITE SURPRISINGLY*, even MORE of the 12mg Nicotine "Kentucky Applewood"... This surprised me the most, since the one I have the most of is the *ONLY* one that I had picked up that was "tobacco" flavored *AND* contained any amount of nicotine in it!

Speaking of, I think I may have burned out my first Cartomizer; as the one I've been refilling with the 'Mountain Duh' has a bit of a noticeable 'burn' to it. :D As I still haven't noticed any issue with the other two (and still have two unused ones that came with the Starter kit), I am not concerned about purchasing a replacement for these quite yet...

I am curious if this ( Vision 510 Clearomizer - 0.8ml ) would be what I'm essentially looking for at this juncture... Is this the same/similar/comparable to the Vision Nano Clearomizer like the one in this review? Essentially, I'd like to be able to view the remaining e-liquid; in a clearomizer which will 'fit' the width of the 510 batteries I have...

If so, then I do believe that one (or three?) of these may be my next purchase. :)

-And then at some point I will move onto the eGo, or possibly some fancier set-up... (I've recently met up & got some feedback with another local vaper, who used this mod, I believe... which was nice, but not my 'thing' at the moment.) However, I may consider upgrading to another set-up once I've gotten to that point... at which time I'll reach out for more advice from everyone here! :)

Congrats Methusalen and thanks for the update. The only prob I have with the LB clearos is they're 2.5- 2.9 ohms. 2.5 ohms would be the limit I would use on your 510's but anything above that would give a weak vape. The ones I recommend are the 2.2 ohms Vision Nano 510 Bottom Coil Clearomizer. Just for explanatory reasons:
https://www.canvape.com/product-p/vnano.htm
"NOTE: When filling avoid getting e-liquid in the center tube THE CAP MUST BE SCREWED ON WITHIN 40-60 SECONDS OF BEING FILLED TO AVOID LEAKAGE".
Limited colors and I would email and ask if they are 2.2 ohms.
AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Nano Clearomizer - 510 Thread
Cheapest but also shipping charge:
5pc Vision Nano 510 Bottom Coil Clearomizer [C-A1 Vision Nano] - $12.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
Cheap but out of stock:
Vision 510 Nano Clearomizer
Problem is they are very popular among the 510 PV crowd.
Best of Luck.
