Hi guys, my first attempt of a microcoil on a GG device. With the results I am having, byebye silica :D. Here are two pictures. I wish I have a taken a photo of the clouds before assembling it but I was affraid to burn the cotton. It was like a fog machine. It is vaping very nicely. I wanted to try a dual on ithaka but figured start on a single with Penelope to see how it goes.

wire: 28 gauge kanthal
coil diameter: 1.8mm
wraps: 11-12
Resistance: 1.9 Ohms
vaping at: 14 Watts

dry hits = 0
flooding = 0
break in period = 0
taste = FULL!!

aalwani....that's a beautiful thing!! Do you have the cotton going down the channels or ending at the end of the ceramic?

Thanks Jojo. Going down the channels. The cotton is wide but fluffy (light not dense) so very easy to compress in the channels same way it compresses itself in the coil. Very important not to have resistance when coiling cotton.

BTW liquid control open half a turn only.

All my drippers, kayfuns, spheroids and any resistance only atomizers are micro and cotton. Even genies now I use cotton and micro. I hated torching the wick and never get it the first time, plus didn't like vaping off metal wick. First time moving to GG devices. Twisting non resistance is a bit of pain but by all means doable.

Pharmacy cotton. I have no idea what it is I think it says organic clean 100% cotton. I will boil them like Yankee does 20 minutes. But I was too lazy until now.

Thanks aalwani.
I guess I will attampt to jump to the pool and see what happen.
After see you all GG respactble veterans comment on it like this I must give it a try.
