Yes I know that. Whats your point?
While it might be as addictive as ......, its not as detrimental to ones health.
I dont know about you, but I have never seen a nicotine addict living in the streets, sleeping in a box, robbing people to get their next fix and then overdosing on it and dieing in their own vomit.
Or maybe that is just because Cigarettes are cheap (relatively) and legal. And for all its faults, Big Tobacco has been fair with things.
Which is more detrimental, ...... and other Opiates, which when pure and used with proper medical practices does not cause cancer(I may be wrong but highly doubtful as they all have been used extensively in medical practice). Or Cigarettes which contain known carcinogens. Don't hold the drug responsible for peoples misuse of said drug.
But this is where the grey area comes to play. With Cigarettes and smoking it is virtually impossible to overdose. But with vaping and solutions of concentrated nicotine, the possibility of overdose comes into play. While the person Smoking will probably never be able to overdose, A vapor may overdose. Most likely due to improper handling, not the actual vaping of the nicotine juice.
Lastly with how addictive nicotine is, If the price was adjusted to be on par with ....... How far would people go for their fix? And how much of the negatives in the ...... addicts lifestyle is part of their social standing in upbringing? Reference the movie based on book based on true life "Permanent Midnight." I believe the book came under some fire as being fiction, but that does not affect my point. If a person has a capable and willing support structure, they can go into any depth of addiction and still not wind up sleeping in a box on the streets. I know someone with an addiction to crack, I guarantee you they will never sleep homeless on the street. Their family would not let that happen. I would probably rob someone to feed my nicotine addiction, and I am certian if every nicotine addict stops deluding themselves and looks inside at the truth, they would find they may be surprised at what they would do themselves.
And do not even try to defend yourself saying you would never do something like that. There is no way you could have been in that situation to say what you would or would not do. Cigarettes are too cheap, and you know you could bum at least a puff off someones cig, or spark up a dropped .... from the ground. But those that have tried to quit nicotine, I am sure have an understanding how strong it is. How far would you go if nicotine is as guarded as coke or ......, and not just sitting there in a cigarette but in a public ashtray?
