Miguel Martin on Fox Business

Miguel Martin, President of Logic Ecigarettes was just on Fox Business in an interview on Varney and Co. I must say, it was really airing on the scary side- both because of the questions he was being asked, as well as the answers he gave. Varney asked him about a situation where his (Varney's) friends were out to dinner and someone at a neighboring table started vaping. The friends were disgusted as he said, "because they find any use of tobacco disgusting", therefore they thought it should be banned. Here's the thing though... all Martin did to respond was mention "well, the ecigarette vapor dissipates much quicker and there's no tar". Why not mention the fact that it's not smoking tobacco, so the friends are really just showing their ignorance. It's not smoking and it's not a cigarette plain and simple. They don't have any reason to whine about second hand smoke, and how dangerous it is and how they have no choice but to be around those horrrible chemicals . They got cigarettes banned everywhere because of all of that and now it just keeps going farther and farther. Miguel Martin, the next time you're on television addressing the uninformed, tell them that.

Good read, And ignorance is rampant in this day and age. I tend to be the kind of person that asks what is that instead of get it away before it kills me. IMHO the world is too worried about dying to actually live a day in there life.
:2c:

Very true and totally sad. It really becomes bad though when their life begins to revolve around how other people are living their lives.

in between the ice ages
"We" need some one who can explain what is going on in simple, understandable terms. "This is a battery, it provides power to a little heating coil like in your toaster. It heats the liquid which causes it to vaporize. This vapor is what you see. The liquid is composed of FDA approved Food Grade Propylene Glycol, FDA approved Food Grade vegetable glycerin and a few milligrams of an FDA approved dilute nicotine solution. I can provide sources for medical studies that show how much nicotine is released into the air and the negligible hazards it may cause to others."
Note an emphasis on "FDA", "approved", "food grade", "dilute", and "negligible". Throw in "medical studies" so people know that you aren't making things up and talking out of your *** like most of the talking heads on TV. Going "errr.." and mentioning nasties of tobacco smoke shouldn't even be in the conversation. "Just the facts, Ma am".

Nj
Ya wanna talk about ignorance running rampant come to NJ. In 2010 they signed into law that vaping was the same as smoking. You can't vape indoors here or in your own office at work. It's the NJ way. If they don't understand it they pass a law and ban it. And sadly this type of thinking has been spreading fast the last few years.
