Thanks Chris for the heads up..Dr. jerk boy can chew Mike's socks..I gotz friendz!:)
With your comment, I found this:

"Kidney failure and inability to excrete fluid from the body can cause fluid build-up in the blood vessels, resulting in pulmonary edema. In people with advanced kidney disease, dialysis may be necessary to remove the excess body fluid."

BTW, My daughter said the nurse told her Mike may be able to lose the mask tomorrow. The treatments may have gone faster if i would have allowed them to put that breathing tube down his troat..but last time they did that, it got stuck..Mike still panics when he thinks of people kneeling on his legs while trying to pull the tube out of his lungs..1 day after a triple bypass.

Well..not good. I almost lost Mike this morning. It seems the lungs/passages are not filled with fluid..they are swollen nearly shut and have mucus plugging them,,Mike wouldn't keep the mask on they allowed him to remove it, by morning his heart rate was up to 200..not good. That was due to Atrial fibrillation . They intubated him and he freaked..told you so. Then they seadted him. I pictched a major hissy fit until they explained he would have died without the breathing tube. I can understand that. I just didn't want them doing INSTEAD of the c-pap.
I was so upset that I had to leave..I couldn't see Mike anyway, if he had seen me it would have been bad, he would have gotten upset with me for allowing the tube..actually it was him who gave permission. That was another thing..how can they accept permission from someone who is out of thier mind? The lung Dr. only came out to speak to me because I was making a scene about the tube and why no one let me know I needed to get to the hospital. The Dr. is still a jerk..much like Sheldon from big bang theory.
I went to see him again this after noon and he was sleeping, but breathing much better. His heart rate is at 130. They said they may remove the tube tomorrow...good luck!
I am headed back up after shift change tonight.

I went to bed at 10:30...that didn't work out..I am UP! I will go lay back down in a minute. Mike was doing good when I went back at 8pm after shift change, drugged but calm. His heart rate is down from this afternoon. It seems he fought them when they tried to do the tube. I did warn them. The poor Nurse (a guy) on duty said Mike was stronger then he looked. I told him that in his youth Mike would have taken the ICU apart (Ranger training) and he doesn't even have the worst temper in the family! LOL

I am a bit loopy tonight..tired but not sleepy. When my kids were young this would have been the type of night I cleaned house to burn off steam and get sleepy..too old for that mess now! I want to be at the hospital as soon as they will let me..8am. I could go now but then I won't be able to stay awake for along day tomorrow. later for it Ladies..Thanks for the support.

I found out today that this was all caused by a virus. I knew it had to be connected..who gets kidney problems and lung problems all at once if it's not connected!
The Dr.signed off on the kidneys today..all good. However the heart is still going crazy so tomorrow they are going to shock him (Cardioversion) to try to get the rhrthm back to normal. They are also going to do a scope down throat to view the backside of the heart (Transesphageal echo cardiogram) They will need to do brathing tests to see if he can breath on his own. My daughter will be in the room for some of the testing as he needs to respond and remain calm. I can't handle that stuff..we don't need two nuts in the room.
Tomorrow is a make it or break it day..if they can't control his heart he won't be able to live long. The blood congeals around the valves due to the sporatic pumping and causes clots. The nurse says that his heart will wear out or he will throw a clot that causes a HA or stroke. I am scared out of my mind. My daughter had to help me to the elevator..my knees kept buckling. I am calm for a bit them shaking the next. I will post later.
