awesome, can't go wrong with the mnke's, I know they were the best available when I was playing with 26650's. it's nice to see you go from disappointed to excited, good luck with it :)
This puts a whole new spin on this mod. the size isn't to bad for 30% more battery life

Keepower was riling the 266500 roost last I checked....
Battery test-review 26650 comparator
Thanks for the link:)
Wonder why the Mnke's aren't listed there? Most of the ones that are I never heard of before accept sony and with them you never know if there fake :(
Like I said I went with the Mnke's I trust the seller and there a good brand name :)

I have read that the MNKE's aren't produced anymore but I can't say for sure.

I read that too, There saying the one that are left are old stock?
I'v had pretty good luck with batteries so far I stuck with VTC4's&5's was lucky enough to see the shortage coming last year and stocked up right before the extinction
Now I'm buying HE4's they work well for me too :)
This will be my first 26650's also, I unwittingly fell into the 26650 market :)

you know, steamer, you gotta learn to be more patient. so many new, small box mods are coming out, one of them could have made a good home for your chip.
eleaf's newest - the tc 60 watt istick - has no dimensions given yet but i always felt the isticks were just right size-wise

and priced right!
Yeah, you need to run that Tibs. ...

What's the world coming to if I have to come to this thread to avoid lots of posts about coffee.

Old meets new, genesis on DNA200 0.5x0.1 mm Ni200 ribbon sleeper coils. 3 mm ss rope wicks, 0.07 ohm vaping at 40 W, 100 W pre-heat, 399 F.

I'm getting ready to redo a DNA 40 board in a clone Hana box, yesterday while at the electronics shop I see they are now selling little helo's and on the display they had a couple lipos, this was one of them Turnigy nano-tech 950mah 1S 25~50C Lipo Pack (Walkera V120, X100)

The wheels started turning and I thought, that would fit in my Hana box, wonder if I could run the 40 off a lipo? Looking up the specs of the battery this morning on Hobby King I also found this round lipo which is smaller then a 18650 Turnigy nano-tech 1200mah 1S 15C Round Cell

What do you think? Anyone using lipo's for a DNA 40?

It worked for Vaporshark I swapped out a couple of batteries in a VS DNA30s at a vape meet with my butane iron the other week and they were all Turnigys.

Ive used bunches of 1S Lipos for DNA30s and 40s. By far my preferred bat.

That's great news! Well now I've got my homework to do.... the DNA200 was easy, plug and play.... How would I monitor the voltage and make sure I don't discharge too low? What can I use for a usb charger? Can anyone point me where to learn about setting one up for a 40? Not looking for anyone to hold my hand, I'm happy to read and learn but have no idea where too look? :)

Sitting down, facing forward.
Since it's a 1S battery, charging is basically the same as an 18650 so any, decent, USB charger board will work out. The battery indicator on the DNA40 will keep you abreast of battery condition. If you use more than one battery, it's prudent to put a fuse on each one, just to be safe.

Wow, that sound too easy! So how far do you let the battery indicator get before charging, all the way like with an 18650? Can you wait until you get low battery flashing on the screen or is that too low? I need to dig up the dna40 manual and read the specs again, but I don't think it said at what voltage the low battery kicks in.
