I am so loving my Tibs by Bap. I would like to make an addition to it. Have you guys seen the cover for the vapor shark? It is a nice siliconey rubbery feeling skin. I wonder if I could make or get something like it for my mod. This is what it looks like Shark Skin (rDNA) - Accessories
I would Love this for my Tibs by Bap.

I wonder if there are sikicone diy kits... Because its just a silicone sleeve

You would have to use casting silicone and make a mold. Standard silicone like you buy at Lowes doesn't cure without air. I can't remember the max thickness, but it isn't much in which standard silicone will cure out proper. Mold making silicone is a two part pourable silicone and is pretty easy to work with. But if you don't want air bubbles from mixing you would also need a vacuum pump. Pretty fun stuff to mess with. I have tried my hands at casting a few things and had really good luck. But making something like a skin for a dna mod would need to be thin and bubble free. Something as easy as playdoh or sculptures clay can be used to make a mold, then coat it with spray urethane. Anyway, if anyone is series about trying it, I can dig up the website where I bought the silicone. The normal purchase amount is huge, but they sell a sample size that is more than enough for a couple of small projects.

So, the soldering on the tibs LIPO is going much more smoothly than the dual...thanks to Pb & flux. The painting, not so much. If I can remember to do so (after overcoming the laziness), I'll post a few pics of how bad the metallic paint looks so far.

special thanks to jka...:thumb:

Yeah, the Lipo is an easier build in many ways. The hardest part is soldering the wires to the Lipo itself, but the rest of the build is much simpler.

Hold up, I'm supposed to solder wires directly to the LIPO itself??? :?: I just used the provided bullet connectors and did a masterful job incorporating the fuses into the wires. :p
