I've been remiss, and will likely be remiss for a few more days, but I have the 4 assembled and running, as well as 2 Jonniemac V7's. I have a punchlist to address, a couple of the 510's are slightly off (didn't notice until that first atty went on, and I wanted to vape), so I have to remove them and scrape paint underneath, and I'm still not happy with the paint jobs, but I'll de-commission them one at a time, remove the batteries, mask them off, and put a clear on them or something.

Light pipes? Tsk . . . get your gorilla glue, put a dab on the side of the pipe, slide it in till it hits the LED, let it dry a couple seconds, then clip it off with flat faced toenail clippers. Looks like it belongs there.

If it came that way, send it back ASAP. However you might try testing it with a multimeter first, it may still work.

hehe. It came just perfect. It burned when i test it for the first time. accidental wire shorting. and the button is not functioning. have to get a new one then. more time for me to find a good airbrush artist for the enclosure. :D

i still got my powerbank and a few mech mod to play with.

edited: i think I'm gonna use this burned chip. i try to power it up just now and the wattage is at 30watt. what say u? any advice or opinion?

Nice pics Tex.

If anyone finds their display to be backwards for your liking, you can invert. Instructions are on Evolve's site, would link but not smart enough.
Basically says with unit in off position, click and hold fire and + buttons for 5 secs. will invert display. Took several tries. I like this better cause I vape left-handed.

I am late in posting my completed project because it seemed too good to be true that I actually managed to do this :p This was completed August 12th in the afternoon, and after almost 48 hours of use, it is still working perfect! I feel like my practice soldering was better than what I did on the DNA board, but I guess all my joints are good enough... The actual assembly was soo difficult, I actually ripped a joint off the board trying to fit the board in such cramped quarters. I did a solder right there inside the Tibs shell instead of pulling everything out and burnt one of the screw holes in the process, but it still holds a screw down lol. The back door is bulging against the battery tray, there is absolutely no more room, and with all 6 screws in, the bulge is not noticeable. I am loving the paint job and glad I had the patience to let coats dry in between applications. There are 4 coats of hammered copper and 2 coats of clear. I left the buttons untouched and so far, they don't appear to be taking on dirt. There was not enough room to include the locking ring on the 510. I was unable to include it because there was not enough threading protruding inside the mod to tighten the nut down. All of my tanks sit flush without it, so I guess it is ok. After 2 days of heavy use, my fully charged Sony VCT 4 batteries still show 50% power remaining... AWESOME! As stated in Sniffle's comment above, there is absolutely no more room in this mod and I cant see how anything could get as small as this Tibs mod. I am absolutely ecstatic that I was a part of this experience, and thanks to all of you who were so generous with your time in providing helpful feedback along the way :D

One thing that I don't get... How do the Fire/up/down buttons come back out after pressing the buttons? It isn't spring loaded, im surprised how easily they press and and return to position. I was worried they would get stuck in firing mode, but they almost seem to click in and out like a spring..

Wow, finally got around to finishing the paint job on all my mods. Been so freakn busy lately with that bad habit of going to work. Anyway, here are some pics of my Tibs2 swirl (left the black one black, no pic), a jonniemac v6 swirl and a jonniemac v7 hammered brass (but you cannot really see the finish well in the pic). Still have to solder those last two, hopefully today if time permits. Love my mods. :)

The buttons on the board are spring loaded.
