battery-watt-hours / vaping-watts = vape-time-in-hours will be close as it is 97% efficient and you save power when the temp limit cuts in @SlickWilly

Thank you! BTW, I wanted to ask you a question. I'm working on my 1590A today, I'm going to start drilling and cutting the holes and openings for the board in the next few hours and I'm still torn on how high or low to set the board. I know it will look a little out of place but I'm liking the fire button very close to the top, about half an inch down from the top. When this smaller box is in my hand I tend to set my index finger over the top and rest it on the base of the atty, this puts the mod lowest in my hand. That fills my hand with the bottom of the box equal to the bottom side of my hand and the fire button under the middle of my thumb pad, this is the same way I've held the istick's for so long it just feels right to me. How are you liking the spot where the fire button is on your's?

It's just fine Willy, it lines up with tip of my top finger or the last knuckle of my thumb nicely, I can even fire it with my palm. BTW it is 18 mm or just over 5/8" down.

Is there a way to calculate battery life in watt hours for a given battery at the watts you'll be vaping at? I know it would be general and dependent on variables but I wonder if there is a way to get an idea what battery to recommend for say, a cloud chaser, someone who vapes at higher watts and is asking "How many hours can I get out of this XYZ battery?"

ETA: I should have added, this would be for a lipo running a DNA200. Got a guy who asked me to consider building him a mod like mine, it was apparent from the brief converstation he wasn't versed in the DNA200 mods running off li-po's. Because it was an unexpected request I didn't think to ask what watt range it would be vaped at, he did mention it would make a cool "competition mod." When I go back to talk to him again and get an idea what the watt range he's thinking about, I'll need to have an idea what size battery I'd be looking at and what size box I would fit in. I doubt he would be happy with the battery life in either the 1000 or 800 mAh mods I have built.

The most accurate way would be to run the Battery Analyzer on your battery as it will accurately calculate the actual total watt-hours (wh) in your battery. If you dont have the power resistors to do this, then get the wh off the battery label or use the

Then look at Device Manager statistics.
  • Over 6716 puffs I averaged 21.01 mwh per puff (blue)
  • However, the energy used per puff varies based on your Atty build. If you want to get the number of puffs based a specific build, use the "Last Puff" value (red). Or... reset your statistics and take a couple dozen puffs and use the "mean" value.
  • Divide your total battery wh by the mwh per puff to get a real good estimate of battery life.

In my case I get about 419 - 3.2s puffs off a full battery.

If you want to reset your statistics just click the reset button.

BTW, the statistics are maintained in the Mod, and will carry over across multiple installations of Escribe.
