Quality (true capacity) data hasnt been compiled yet. My Database is a stab at it, but it hasnt been embraced yet.
Well you're doing a great job anyway. Been trying to read threw a few of the threads all 150 pages on one and 60 something on the other. Learning alot of stuff. Thanks.

Thanks guys for your feedback
Now starts the beta testing: first day out:)
Fingers crossed and backup mods prepared:)

That is funny you said that. I actually have some education and experience in (3D) design, on different scale thought, but to do this simple looking but internally ridiculously overcomplicated bugger was a lot harder than I would have thought:)
Still hard to believe that it actually works:)

It gets really interesting when you try it with an FF printer. Lots of things to remember not to do when CAD'ing up a model.

Just picked up this box. Figured I'd post it cause I've seen all of youres
Is that the box from "Lin" somethingoranother on Facebook? I looked at those, but when she/he sent me pictures, the seller told me the fronts and backs are different shades on all colors. They're the same color but different shades... And I think the backs have some kind of block designs?

Yes the black is a slightly different color . Can't really notice. The silver one is more pronounced difference .

I think the difference is in the texture of the metal which reflects light differently. He likely had them either blasted or acid etched before anodizing. If the pre treatment wasnt even on both halves then they reflect differently giving the appearance of being different shades even though the anodizing dye was from the exact same bath.

He told me they front of the case and the back of the case were anodized at two different times. That's why they are slightly different shades. It's alot more noticeable on the silver and gray cases. That's why I chose black.
That fits. Gray is actually "clear", clear anodizing shows up as various shades of gray, the shade depending on the composition of the aluminum. So if the gray is markedly different it isnt a "dye" issue. Sounds like they may have acid etched one batch a few more seconds than another batch, consequently the texture of the metal in the two batches was different. This would show up as a shade difference but really it is just the way the light reflects off the surface.

The other possibility, though less likely, is that it was two different batches of aluminum are of slightly different alloy composition. Odds are that he used 6061 for both though.

Ok, if that case is NOT the same shade of black (front & back) then it's so close I can't tell. The pictures I got from the Philippines were very distinctively 2 different shades... Almost intentionally so like two tone.

That looks awesome! Congrats
It's not an ERM + but I was trying to get verified and missed getting on the list by a day or two. So this was the closest I could find to an evolve reference box. I'm very happy with it . Wish I had an evolve 510 to throw in it also but again missed the co op . Hopefully evolve will sell kits in the future.

Here's some screen caps from our Facebook conversation. He also told me no more black, this was about a month ago.

I'm NOT TRYING TO KNOCK THE SELLER. He was honest in telling me and showing me what to expect. And I love the square buttons. I know it's so minor, but it looks so cool.

You can so obviously see the shade difference and why I would have passed on the colors other than your black which looks sweet.

Edit: @mikepetro we need to figure out how to anodize our erm+ in black or dark grey [emoji7]... Affordably ;)

This is the only example I could find (for now) of what he showed me and what turned me off. Your black mod looks awesome to me. This 2 tone look is not acceptable imho.
I wanted an ERM plus and missed out on the coop by a couple days so when I found these I had to buy one. He told me about the color difference also. I seen black and he had one so I went with that. If he only had gray I would have just got the closet 2 shades he had. I really love the reference box design . I love it. And his build quality is top notch. He built the box for me and it's a super clean wiring job. I'm very happy with the finished product. If anyone has an ERM plus they want to part with I would gladly make a trade or even buy it.

there are no pluses yet ;) you can check the thread in the co-op section to keep an eye on progress!
Will do i been trying to read up on all the stuff u guys have posted in there. I have been learning alot of cool stuff. I just ordered a g+ box and the stuff to get a build going. Will be my first one. I'm excited. I'm pretty good with an iron because of my rc experience but that's about it . The dna 200 seems super easy to build so I shouldn't have to many problems. And with all the info u guys have on these forums I know I'll make it .
