Dunno about the solvent, but you're gonna need the right grade of Scotch Brite or Bear-Tex pad. The stuff you find in your kitchen or at the grocery store is likely too coarse. For Bear-Tex, the gray #748 is probably a good choice.

I really like the idea of coloring the engraving. black body with colored engraving would look pretty cool I think.I had mine built last week but someone who shall remain nameless guilted us into posting here [emoji14].
It's pretty awesome.
I color filled the engraving.
I used Amazon.com - Maas International Metal Polish, 4-Ounce - Multipurpose Metal Polish to clean and polish the mod. Had I remembered, I would have used tech grade isopropyl for the board screws or Nevr Dull followed by nyogel or noalox but once I saw the end in sight......I just slapped it together.
I've built some stuff and gone the extra mile during prep, build, installation.... I can't help but wonder do those extra steps and ultimately extra expense actually benefit anything other than piece of mind?

thought you might have added a little black paint to your wash to highlight the grain from the way it looked around the buttons, but I guess it was just the lighting.

Here's my latest, dna 200/133. The board comes from Mike's first Co-Op for these boards a few months back.
Why 18650's? Just because. Loads of fun to go from concept, planning, then going through the process of building. Much satisfaction in doing something you've put together yourself and very addictive to boot.
Now on to the ERM.

4.5mm acrylic/plexiglass for the enclosure.
Fat Daddy 510.
3x3mm barrrel magnets for the body of the enclosure and 2x3's for the door.
Shelf pins ground down to fit for the buttons.
Stand-offs and screws are from a kit Stealth Vapes sells for the DNA200.
Battery sled from FastTech.
Ribbon to eject batts bought at Michael's.
Turnigy stranded silicone wire.
And of course inspiration provided by all you guys and gals. Priceless!!!

Way cool, never ventured into acrylics yet, kind of intimidated by it. EVERY imperfection would show.
Exactly and I've got a pile of rejects to prove just that.
May I ask a stupid question? I'm thinking of building a DNA200/133 with a 2S1P LiPo. Will the on-board balance charger work in this config? I think yes. But I want to ask the people who have been building them. Thanks!

.Will be building one similar but with clear plastic ready box and 2s lipo. There is a 3 18650 box from FT, the only clear one but unfortunately it is pink. Will convert it to a 2s bf dna200 mod.

There's a whole thread over on the DNA200 Early Adopters Forum. 2S1P is doable with the onboard balance charger.
