I tried a few different flavor samples at a kiosk at my local mall, and was satisfied with the product and the hit, tasted great and seemed like a good deal. Been wanting to quit for a while, so it was a no-brainer.

However, after vaping, I felt very strange in my head. Lightheaded, but not like a "buzz", more like an uncomfortable "high". It was a very weird sensation and I can't quite describe it, very foggy. So I decided to put it down and this lasted for a couple hours. The next day, I gave it another shot and took only a few drags, and the same feeling returned, however not as severe.

I bought 24mg nic cartomizers, as I smoke pretty often. I also know that it contains PG. Could I be demonstrating an allergy to PG? Is VG the safest compound to use? I've been shopping around and came across an e-cig with "100% natural vegetable glycerin".

This is very discouraging as I was excited to begin vaping and to make the switch, and eventually ending the addiction altogether and using 0 nic cartridges. I love the act of smoking, but the detrimental health effects, not so much.

It might also be the nic level you started at. Even though I was technically a 2.5 PAD smoker, when I started vaping I realized I didn't smoke as much as I thought I did. Often, I would light a cigarette and it would burn up in the ashtray, or if I went outside to smoke I was committed to finishing the whole thing. I discovered when I vaped that I might take a few drags for the nic hit, then put it down for awhile. I started at 12mgs (not really on purpose, I started with a cig-a-like kit that only came in light, medium or high) I picked 12mgs, reasoning that if I didn't get what I needed I would just vape more or I could go up with the nic level. Currently, my e-liquids are all 10 to 18mgs.

I suspect it's the nicotine. Either try some juice in a lower level or get some juice without nicotine and cut your existing juice with it. You might try a 12mg juice alone, and then you can also mix it in equal parts with your 24mg to get an 18mg juice.

I started at 18mg and got the same thing you've been experiencing, along with a headache. Lowering the nicotine solved the problem. It's worth a try; at the very least it will rule the possibility out.

I wonder why you didn't react that way when sampling juices in the mall?

Anyway, what you describe sounds more like too much nicotine than a PG sensitivity. I could be wrong, of course. But, wouldn't a PG sensitivity irritate your lungs and not your head?

My vote is too much nicotine. But, maybe someone who's more PG sensitive than me will come here and let us know if your symptoms sound familiar.

Another thing that I've read around this site is how the mall suppliers can be a bit shady (Smokeanywhere actually accused of outright fraud). Not saying this is the case with the one you bought, but, if you know the brand it could be something specific to them.

It sounds more like the nic level though. Have you completely kicked the analogs? A mixture of analogs, plus a higher nicotine level may be an attributing factor.

Hi

It could be either too much nicotine, a reaction to "something" in the liquid - or a combination of the two. I'm a little concerned about these kiosks because most of the ones I've seen look like cheap (and I mean REAL cheap) rebranded China imports. The kind of kits you could get at DealExtreme for less than ten bucks. My point is, you have no idea what ingredients are in that liquid or what testing is done to check the nicotine levels.

If you can refill the carts in that kit I would suggest as others did: Try a lower nicotine level. And get a couple sample liquids, one in 100 VG or as close as you can get and another in a relatively high PG. But not from a kiosk. Places like Liberty Flights and Cignot, just to name a couple, have a pretty broad flavor range in 100 VG and PG liquids in sample sizes.

Best of luck. It sucks to have a bad initial experience but check in and hopefully we all can help you find something that works.

Try 18mg nicotine strength. If it happens again just as bad, then try the 100% vg option. Please not that VG is THICK like syrup and often doesn't wick well in cartomizers or clearomizers without thinning it first with distilled water or pure grain alcohol. Going that route is trickier so try reducing the nicotine first.

One more vote for too much nicotine. I still get headaches from time to time-usually when I know I'm just not giving myself enough break from my constant vaping, but when I first started, I was using 18 Mg, and since reducing that to 12 the headaches have gotten much better. I also find that with juices that are too sweet for me, I'll get a similar headache almost immediately-even at lower nic levels.

I am pg intolerant and finally proved it to myself when I ordered juice that didn't label the pg/vg ratio. After a while of vaping on the stuff, I began feeling listless, sleepy all the time, and depressed. I knew it was not the nic because I was vaping a 6mg juice. As soon as I stopped it, the negative reaction went away. So now the only pg I vape is what is in the flavoring, everything else is vg diluted @ 10% distilled water.

I hope you find what works for you, just keep at it. Good luck.
