Howdy. So my mini davide which has been working beautifully sprung a leak -- an odd one since the leak seemed to come from the seals along the glass body rather than the mouthpiece or battery connection. Sure enough, the o-ring that sits below the threads on the locking post -- the chrome center pin -- is frayed and apparently not doing the job. For all I know the o-ring at the other end of the post is blown as well. This is all probably careless reassembly, and not taking care to make sure the o-rings are seated in the right place before tightening. They are however very small and a clear, nearly invisible color, particularly when immersed in eliquid.

So of course the question is how to replace them. of the many o-rings i have in my spare parts box, none seem to fit. I don't see mini davide replacements on sale anywhere, nor know if protanks have this particular size and shape part. Should I just get a new davide and use that part? thanks in advance....g$

So I got a box of o-rings from amazon (Stalwart 75-2225 Hawk O Ring Assortment Set, 225 Quality O-Rings Orings - Amazon.com) and indeed it contained 20 correct size o-rings that fit the ends of the locking posts on on the davide on both top and bottom side. To my surprise, it did not stop the leaking (I tested first with water and then with juice to make sure viscocity was not at issue). bummer, figured my davide was toast. This morning, I pulled the davide mini and box of o-rings out and started looking for something else to try. I took a larger o-ring that fit the inside post of the top cap - the place where the locking post screws into the top cap. The o-ring fits snug against this inside post that receives the threaded center post, but does not fill up the whole gutter of the top cap. So. The davide holds water without leaking ...at the top end anyway. I can post pics and/or give the dimentions of the oring I used if anyone is interested. I'll post again if it gives me any more problems. I do not belive I was replacing a lost of damaged o-ring in this location by the way, I don't think there was any o-ring in this area originally, I could be wrong. Also, I don't know anything about the quality of these o-rings or the possibility of leaching any toxins or whatever ... it just says they're rubber.

I have a feeling these o-rings are proprietary, I'd be very surprised if you found them anywhere...besides, you'll spend as much in gas and time running all over town trying to find them, in addition I think their silicone and not your standard o-ring rubber material and could be effected by the caustic nature of some e-liquid...JMO folks.

I have a Davide mini that I love...my only gripe is the problem you're having, way to many o-rings on this clearo=way to many you can damage, lose or areas to spring a leak...I'm anxious to get the Kanger Mini Protank 2, i have a feeling they'll be a few less o-rings.

While that could be, I doubt they had those things custom made solely for them to use. It is possible though. I would hope any manufacturer that did do that would also sell "repair kits" with an assortment of rings and such. Maybe try contacting the manufacturer and asking them what they use?
