I've just about given up on my mini nautilus. I don't understand what's going on with the coils. The first day I used it, it was amazing. I use it on a MVP. Let the coil soak, etc. The flavor was what I was looking for. Got an iStick and wow it was so much better! Had no problem/burnt hits running it at 14 watts. That coil lasted a week chain vaping. Changed my coil, same juice let soak, first hit, burnt. Changed coil put it back on the MVP and ran it at low (6) watts for the first 40 puffs, bumped up to 7 watts until around 80 puffs. 9 watts around 100 puffs and burnt. I find that the Nautilus really doesn't start showing performance until I get above 10 watts then the flavor shines, for a minute. Then it burns. Every time. I though maybe I got a bad batch of coils so I went and bought 2 5pack replacement. Went through the first 5 pack in a day, I'm on my second 5 pack and have used this coil for 2 days at low wattage. So I bumped it up to 9 on the MVP and it burnt. ... is going on with this thing? 2 people I work with have the exact same setup and bought the same coils from the same place and the flavor they're getting is like the flavor I got on the first day. Now it seems like I'm just chasing the dragon. Any tips would help. Thank you.

Are you sure you got BVC and not BDC coils??

You also need to drop few drops of juice in to the coil before screwing on the tank, so the coil gets primed from with in. Then let it soack with the tank on for about 15min.

Start with 6-8 watts, after short 2sec 15 hits you can take it to 12 watts. I find that 14 watts is too much and burns the coil too quickly.

When you using MVP, what voltage do you have it set at? Dont go higher then 4 volts and 9 watts. On iStick, keep it at 12 watts, since voltage is automatically controlled it should be around 3.8v.

BVC coils yes. I had a couple bdc coils and they were OK but didn't last long. I know the iStick has it's faults and runs warmer than the MVP but I just don't understand the inconsistencies in the coils. I tried the dripping directly into the coil. I heard that the metal wire and screen can't take the heat until they get oxidation on them. Is this true? I should probably run at low watts for a couple days but it's just not a satisfying vape.

The wicking material in these coils needs to be thoroughly saturated before using them, and it takes a while when you first load up a new coil. I like to drip a few drops of juice down into the coil where the mesh screen is then put the coil into the tank and let it sit for ten minutes (with the tank full). Give it several unpowered primer puffs (covering the airflow holes) during these ten minutes. This should make sure you get the wick fully saturated.

Thanks Dan. I'm going to do that as well. Going to do all of the above and let it sit overnight. I really want to love this tank because it's about the only one I have that I can use on my iStick. And the first day with the Nautilus and iStick I thought my search was over for "my perfect vape." Sadly, I've been chasing that dragon ever since. :)

Unfortunately I think that's where I'll up. Lol. Only thing keeping me from it is the juice consumption. Right now I can make a 30ml bottle last almost 2 weeks. That's an estimate because I have so many in rotation that I lost count but yeah. Anyway, I am pleased to report that after many coils, I think I got this Nautilus working. I did as instructed then let the juice sit overnight in the tank. Woke up and primed it, covered the air hole and fired it up at 6 watts. Moved up to 7 after 100 puffs then 8w, then 9 at 200 puffs. Just to see I put it on the iStick at 5w and wahlah. No burnt taste. And the flavor is where it should be. Thanks all for your assistance.
