Great advice all. I did go to provapes site and found a local authorized dealer. They were not far from the house so took a drive down there. They did not have the standard in Stock but did have some minis. That thing rocks. Got to vape a little on one of the employees own mini. I am sold. I must have one. Lol now to rummage the house to find things to sell on eBay so I can afford to get this little gem. Would love to get it from that shop but it is a little more than a hundred dollars more to have instant gratification. I will have to wait for the money then a few more days on snail mail.

Good luck and it will be a lasting investment.......

Now that sounds like a good idea. Can you buy the batteries at a b & m store. Not necessarily a vape shop but like radio Shack or frys? Or even the chargers? Does anyone know? Just curious. I do have the want it now syndrome. I tried lookin buy seems all I could find was online.

I have not seen AW Batteries or quality chargers at Frys. Didn't check Radio Shack.

Many Vape shops around me do sell them.

Don't go cheap on batteries! Get only AW branded.
You can get a quality charger for under 25$

I got mine online at RTDVapors.com

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Buy directly from ProVape for the best price and superquick delivery (you MUST be home to SIGN FOR THE DELIVERY).

I like the Mini because it's so versatile and I have a ton of batteries - I bought the starter quick with a few extra 18350s and bought larger sized batteries later from RTD after I got the extension - When out and about I'd rather have the Mini and a few batteries to change out than carry a giant superextended rod o' vapelisciousness....lol

I was successful in finding things to sell. Lol actually I had some things just been holding on to them for when I wanted a new toy. I think the mini will work and as time passes will add batteries and extenders. All I really do is go to work and home and on the weekends the usual errands so the smaller batteries will work just fine. I will use the batteries provape suggest since they made it they know what works best and want to keep it under warranty. Thanks everyone for your pros and cons. As usual they were a big help.

Hey, Pat,,,,,,,,are you getting one????????????

I think so, Holly.
Now that I know that vaping has 'stuck' for me. It seems reasonable to do so.
Everything I read says it is a good investment.
Are you glad you have one?
It will really stretch my budget...............................but I am stocked up on juice and have several toppers in good working order and backup batts.................so I doubt there will be a better time.
What do you use as a topper?
Can I simple screw on my PT minis, evods, and so forth? or do I need a adapters?
thanks for asking.
You are a good friend.

Kanger Protank mini, Kanger Evod, Innokin iClear 16 have eGo threading. The Provari has 510 threading. You will need a 510-to-eGo adaptor to use those. Vivi Nova, Kanger Protank 1 & 2, and Innokin iClear 30 have 510 threading and will not need an adaptor.

I am also on the fence between the full size and the Mini. Would 2 18350's last all day for a moderate vaper? I can't believe Provape does not have a dealer in the Phoenix area! They have one listed in Tuscon but never any answer when you call.

Provape doesn't actively seek dealers. It's up to individual shops whether or not to carry Provari's.

Two 18350 batteries will last me a total of approximately 12 - 14 hours. With a single 19490 battery I get about 10 -11 hours use. I consider myself a moderate vapor; I consume about 3 - 5 ml of juice daily. The Mini is more pocket friendly.

One 18650 battery lasts me morning 'til night.

I am trying to understand this whole battery thing. When I started with the Blu ecig, 2 200mah batteries were good for the whole day. My Vea lasts all day with 1 650mah battery and in both cases I am puffing on it all day. And thats with a lot of primer puffs and wasted puffs because of bad cartomizers and clearomizers. With the Provari (and other mods I assume) I will need a pocket full of batteries and a charger near by to make it thru the day? I have talked to a few other vapers and they have no trouble making it thru the day on 900/1000mah Ego batteries and these people vape constantly! Again, just trying to understand so I can choose the right Provari for me.

100 mAh is roughly akin to 1 hour vape time. 600 mAh = 6 hours. 1000 mAh = 10 hours. This is a rough approximation, and is taking for granted you are using a fixed single voltage battery. As you use a battery, it starts out at around 4.1 volts and the voltage gradually drops down to 3.2 volts and will then no long produce vapor. In between that time period, the vapor starts strong and gradually decreases. An "inconsistant" vaping experience.

The Provari is a regulated mod that uses boost circuits to allow voltage regulation. The regulator continuously monitors the battery's drop in voltage during use and adjusts the output to keep the voltage to the atomizer to what the user set. This uses additional battery energy. The boost circuits also allow for the creation of higher voltage with PWM (pulse width modulation), which also uses additional battery energy.

The Provari is 90% efficient in its battery useage, better than most regulated mods. It's processor is also one of the most accurate on the market, keeping the voltage that you set within 1% accuracy. The majority of Chinese-made regulated mods such as the Vamo, Lava Tube, SVD, ZMac, etc use a 33.3 hz PWM (rattlesnake effect) while the Provari, DNA mods, and the iTaste MVP use a higher PWM, 800 hz in the case of the Provari. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/variable-voltage-apv-discussion/488840-rattlesnake-effect-why-cheapo-vv-exception-itaste-mvp-dont-vape-same-provari-dna20d.html This allows for a "smoother" more enjoyable vape. Getting off topic here...

Anyway, this is why it may seem to you that an eGo may last longer than a regulated mod. They aren't using the battery's resources as hard as a regulated mod is. However, that regulated mod is going to allow a consistant vape from start to finish of each battery, and is going to allow the user to use higher voltages to suit his needs for a better vape experience. A regulated mod is also going to have superior safety features which will guard against short circuits within the device.

There will be no need to carry multiple cigalikes or eGo batteries which will literally fill up a pocket. Just one mod will suffice, and a rather smallish spare battery for that "just in case I need it". This is not the same as carrying "a pocketful of batteries".

Does the Provari provide for a better vape experience?

I really appreciate your patience with me here! So, for me to be on the safe side, 2 19490's or 3
18350's per day would do it with some power to spare. You mentioned at 3.2 V vapor production would stop. My Vea runs at a regulated 2.8V (I've measured it also). It actually produces tons of vapor when used with good 2.3 ohm cartomizers and a PG/VG e-juice. How is this possible? I am not saying the vapor/flavor is at the same level as what the Provari is capable of, just wondering how it works at all?

Once again, thanks for the clear pictures to show the relative size, Baditude.

By the way, of the 5 vape shops I've been in, not a single cotton - picking one has carried the AW brand, and most either haven't heard of it, or at least won't admit it. If I ever pull this particular trigger, I guess the whole order might as well go to Provape.
