mini Protank 2 base and eGo Twist battery getting hot

I have one of my mini Protank 2 bases getting hot. I think it's probably a bad head. It still vapes, but I am wondering if it will ruin my battery. I am trying to dry burn it but it gets pretty hot in just seconds. Anyone had this problem and know what is it or what to do about it?

When I sit and vape a 1.8 coil at 4.8 volts for half an hour, my pt mini gets red hot. Not a problem as far as I'm concerned.

Probably time to change or clean your coil head. My atomizers will get warm when I chain vape, tis why I have more than one devices and several atomizers. How long have you been vaping on the same coil head? What kind of maintenance do you do to your gear?

Ive been using the same coil head for gesh maybe 4 days. I just rinsed it with water really well and dried it and it's still doing the same thing. Vapes fine though. It's an authentic head it came with the new tank.
