MISTer Silica Hybrid

Maybe this should be in the APV section, but I think it may be more appreciated here.

There's a cool new silica based hybrid from Finland, with the not (imo) so cool name of the "MISTer."

It's sort of a cross between an Odysseus and a kayfun, and seems really easy to set up. It only uses 18490 batteries but hopefully they will come out with other size tubes since it would be easy to do with it's design. It's for sale now at FinnVape, where they have some videos linked as well. The price is reasonable, it says 160 Euros, but when you order it they take out the VAT tax if you reside outside the EU. Which made it somewhere in the range of only 130 Euros.

I always find myself in a rather small niche market of wanting nicer, higher-end devices, but not caring much for genesis style atomizers. Which has pretty much only left GG and svoemesto for me. So this seems ideal for anyone with similar sentiments.

i ordered one last night! looks cool - and can be built w/ a SS mesh U wick if people like the mesh vape. i heard it wicks like a beast and dose NOT leak - pocket friendly. and if you browse the EU fourms - they modder talks about 18350 and 650 tubes and also clear window tanks coming out shortly after the launch.

i also heard that the conductivity is great and the voltage drop is very very small and that it hits Harrrrrd. Im very excited to try this out - hybrids are NEVER is stock its such a pain to get one... its even a pain to find a 22mm mech mod in stock.. ever. which is so frustrating. so its really nice to see this is stock for the time being. i heard they have very few left - like 10 maybe? but i think its in stock still since its on a non US sight and not really in the spot light yet

but once these babies ship and get reviewed i think many people will be praising them and they will be sought after.

i heard that it has better flavor and vape than on oddy since air feeds directly onto the coil and a few reviewers said it rivals the vape/flavor of a kayfun and @ times is better.

For $205 us dollars it looks so cheap. Like something you could make with spare part in your garage.

its not 205 USD - its 180$ USD Shipped from EU to US, they take off a tax if your outside the EU. and its all 316 SS w/ satin finish- one thing i dont like is the knurling but they did it to server the purpose to be able to disasemble everything - theres plans to make replacement parts in the future to replace them i think?? but besides the knurling i like it. similar finish to the satin provari it looks like

I'm glad somebody else ordered one. I think they should have tried to get the word out better about this. Finnvape only had 50 to begin with, and there was a hundred at the modders own site but didn't ship internationally. And they both stayed in stock for several days.

I'm really hoping for an 18650 tube myself, so people need to show interest in the actual mod itself, to help encourage that.

I am noticing that people really don't like knurling. I must be the only one who likes it. That and the straight GG style mouthpiece are my favorite design aspects of it.

Also, the only forum I have found talking about it so far is vapefest.fi, which I had been following with google translate to learn about this. Did you find a different EU site or the same one?

yes i totally agree - i bet one people get there hands on these 150 mods and start to get the word out it will catch on. but i agree they didnt do a great job of getting the word out about this mod - i mean its the only silica tank hybrid out there i know of? i honestly dont mind the knurling at all - i mean i could do w/o it but i really dont mind it and i also love the mouth piece w/ the juice control. i think mine shipped today? so well see how long it takes to arrive

And so weirdly enough it seems Finnvape, who seems to primarily sell Finnish products, and is in Finnish by default, is located in Spain!? Don't know how that happened.

It's not weird if you know that owner lives in Spain..now he can sell e-juice which contains nicotine to finnish customers. It's not legal to sell nicotine in Finland without permission. This mod is beast...finish is rough but so durable! I've been using this mod since thursday and this one is a keeper

Yep, that explains it. Government always likes making life harder than it needs to be. But it makes me happy to see someone outsmarting their government.

I'm glad to hear you like the mod. I'm really excited to get mine. I was wondering about the finish. I think I would have preferred polished or brushed, but I have never owned a satin finished mod. So I'll have to wait until I see it in person to really judge it.

I have heard good things about this. Didn't buy it, because I have Somnium hybrid coming, and I have to save my money for the Diablo One. Kinda regret my decision already! I'm not too crazy about silica anymore, but option to use mesh really intrests me. U-wick, with bottom airflow and little airchamber... sounds delicious.

Desing is very industrial, this reminds me more like something you get out of the toolbox along with your hammer. And when this doesn't leak at all, you can really take this mod to rough places. You know, if you work with your hands all day and get them dirty - and still would like to have good vape at work. I think these design also has it's benefits, and I don't find this ugly by any means.
