didn't read the whole thread.... sorry. But can i buy just the top section of the MISTer? I keep seeing pictures pop up of it screwed into other big name mods that hare the same threading.

thanks for the info

As far as I know you can't just buy the top section. Also, why would you? other than being telescopic (which are a dime a dozen) this device has everything!!

The firing button on mine very squeaky and would even get stuck sometimes, I took it apart and sanded it just a bit and it's now smooth.

just because I guess.... if the atty portion was half the price of the mod and shared the same threading as a few of my other mods than it would be fun, interesting, and different. Work like a kayfun, but have less voltage drop since it was direct connect instead of 510.

Saw a few pictures of people throwing the atty portion on some different mods, was just wondering if they owned a whole MISTer, or where able to buy the top and do it.

I guess I know what you mean, just until I got this unit myself I was getting so frustrated with the Hercules (Ithaka clone by Rainbow) with it's resistance-non-resistance and so many parts that could come undone that I mentioned somewhere that I wished he would make an attachment for the bottom to become a 510 connector.

I would have used it with a Precise ELA I have coming soon but once I actually got this unit and got the kinks worked out of the button, I love it!!

I love the single-unit build of the base. Less parts = less things to go wrong IMO :thumb:

I kinda want one. I like the new version with the smooth finish ring on it. I guess they made some other improvements on it as well.

I just picked up my MISTer V3 over the weekend and I'm loving it. I was told it would be the last run of MISTers VJ is making. Not sure how true that is, but regardless it was very much worth the price. I have it set up with a micro coil with cotton. I keep seeing posts that mesh works best with it. I'll probably rebuild it with mesh once I'm done with the liquid in the tank. Anyone else have it set up with mesh care to chime in with their opinion of silica vs mesh vs cotton?

I've had mine a couple weeks now and I'm quite pleased with it. It was my first mod after 3 1/2 years of vaping and I decided to go all-in. I looked through this thread and saw a couple mentions of having to blow 'excess' liquid out through the air intake hole after filling the tank, but I didn't see anyone suggest a better way.

Here's the leak-free way to refill a Mister:
Tighten down the chimney securely before removing the tank cap. If there is still liquid in the tank, make sure the chimney doesn't back out as you unscrew the cap or the leaking will begin.
Fill the tank and replace the cap.
Before unscrewing the chimney, invert the Mister.
With the mouthpiece facing down, unscrew the chimney to your desired position and THEN return the Mister to an upright position. This creates a vapor lock in the tank and juice won't come flowing out the air intake.

I stopped using mine for a while when I got my Precise ELA... I found that the draw was still too airy. I have since used a 2.0 kenthal twisted wire and damn, I'm in love with it all over again!! This device is meant for some heavy duty wires... I don't even bother with the 18350 mode now since the twisted wire really sucks up your battery, but if you're thinking of getting some stronger hit and you're more use to a tighter draw, try a twisted wire, you take shorter draws and still get a hell of a hit

I got a V3 a couple of days ago and set it up with silica, it was OK but not anything impressive so I put it up for adoption. Then I set it up with a micro and cotton and promptly removed it from the classies, it beats every tank I own on flavor. It' a keeper.

A micro coil and cotton wick is the way to go with the mister.I think of mine as a mech. version of my semovar and 3.1 kayfun, same type of vape, one's regulated, the other ain't.
