Actually, all of the above work to clean an atty. I use 91% isopropyl alcohol sometimes, water most of the time. Haven't bothered to invest in a ultra-sonic device, and I'd probably drink the vodka not clean with it ;)

Yes, 91% isopropyl alcohol can be used to clean a PV and contacts too, it's great stuff. It's my go-to cleaner for stubborn atty stuff. I always blow the atty out after using it and "warm" burn it. A very small amount left behind, if any is even present at all, won't hurt anything. It will evaporate away if you are patient enough (I'm not ... lol). If you do use it, check that the ingredient list is 91% isopropyl alcohol and water ONLY. Don't be stupid and use rubbing alcohol that has oils or other stuff in it. If you're worried about it at all, use the vodka, but vodka still may have some small amounts of sugars left in it. I suppose that the vodka is more idiot proof than the isopropyl alcohol, but more expensive too.

Thanks for the info folks. Much appreciated.

I too share several of the health concerns that were mentioned in some of these links. My feeling is that this has to be better than smoking cigs and vaping seems to work getting me over the quitting hump.

I will of course now need to ween myself off of the nicotine. That's the next step. For now, I just want to eliminate the cause of two angioplastys I've had before I turned 40.

I agree and still feel that switching to vaping has made a profoundly positive impact on my health. But I do realize that life never offers a one size fits all solution to anything. While many of us have found much success, I find it inevitable that there are those with whom problems may arise. There is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding this relatively young technology and only time will reveal any potential long term effects thay may yet be unseen.

Her videos are actually still there and I still have the link. I have very mixed feelings about providing it to newbies now. They are very informative and people can use the information but, I feel I should respect her wishes. What to do? What to do? For now, I'll respect her wishes. I reserve the right to change my mind though.

PM sent...

I did set my videos to private. They should not work unless a link is provided specifically by me, to a logged in YouTube member. I have not sent anyone the links. If there is still a working link I would like to know about it.

Popeye79 is right. There are plenty of other, sometimes better, places to get your information. I no longer wish to be one of them. That remains my decision.
