I was a HUGE Twin Peaks fan, and this song is just hysterical... View attachment 390889

NOTE: Countboredom should like this... View attachment 390888

It was a Los Angeles rock radio station, KROQ, that first aired this Twin Peaks version of the "12 Days of Christmas". The same station put out a Christmas album and this song was included. The album was only available for sale in the Los Angeles area.

The Twelve Days Of Christmas

For those who haven’t heard it yet, here’s the Twin Peaks version of the “12 Days of Christmas” classic recorded by some of the cast members for the L.A.-based modern rock radio station, KROQ-FM (kay-rock). As you can guess, hearing BOB sing is most unsettling.

There is something so eerie and haunting about the way this is done....I just love this song..........I especially love the walking in the snow sound......

Redd I also love the knowledge that is included with this kind of thread....It never fails to amaze me.....

So many people put Yoko down... but the woman has made some incredible (and strange) music, both with and without John (R.I.P.)!!

I am going to show my age now. When I was 10, I wanted these Barbies. I finally got them on Christmas. I was so excited, I played with these forever.

LOL!! Sorry... can't help you there. Never cared much for Donny & Marie. Plus, I'm a bit older than the 2 of you and was already out living on my own by that time. (talk about showing my age!! )

And besides... I didn't even own a TV set back then!!! :D (all I did was listen to music - ha!)

    "Morning Side Of The Mountain"

There was a girl, there was a boy
If they had met they might have found a world of joy
But she lived on the morning side of the mountain
And he lived on the twilight side of the hill
They never met, they never kissed
And they will never know what happiness they missed
For she lived on the morning side of the mountain
And he lived on the twilight side of the hill
For love's a rose that never grows
Without the kiss of the morning dew
And every Jack must have a Jill
To know the thrill of a dream that comes true
And you and I are just like they
For all we know our love is just a kiss away
But you are on the morning side of the mountain
And I am on the twilight side of the hill
For love's a rose that never grows
Without the kiss of the morning dew
And every Jack must have a Jill
To know the thrill of a dream that comes true
And you and I are just like they

The best thing i remeber from any recent christmas, was when my son was 13 or 14.There was a video game he really wanted,so when we wrapped it,we did the box in a box in a box thing. We started out with the biggest box we could find, and put like 10 smaller ones inside, each getting a bit smaller.By the time he finally got to the game he was aggrivated from all the boxes that he didn't even play the thing for like 2 hours haha.

When I was little, one of my great aunts used to buy something she called surprise balls for me. She used to get them at a gift shop. They were balls made of tissue paper decorated with Christmas sequins.

As you unwrapped them, there were little plastic toys and things inside layers of different colored tissue paper. The toys weren't very exciting, they were mostly like the ones you got out of the penny bubble gum machines in the 1950's, with a bigger one in the middle, but it was so much fun to unwrap them!

I usually don't play this before thanksgiving but am anyway and has been a tradition where I come from for a long time and still is here and played on the radio every thanksgiving @ 12:00 noon! So here goes and if ya don't like it, ya don't have to listen & ya don't have to read this either...your choice cause I want to choose what I like and enjoy all of yours also but if that isn't good let me know and I'll leave! :vapor: But best of all...this is the new version of Alice's Restaurant...revisited! So I challenge any one whom can listen to the whole thing! :D

    Very cool story, Kathi!

Yes...simpler times. Back when the kids didn't want $300.00 Playstations, $100.00 games and $400.00 phones!! I was tickled to death back then with a cheap Hot Wheels set or a $10 telescope. Ahhh...those were the days. Geeeesh...I sound like an old man!

I found this Christmas story and loved it. I smiled through the whole thing. I hope you enjoy it, too. :)

Konner asked for Christmas lights this year. We, as neighbors, decided we could do better than that. After tricking Kris and Kim into leaving the house for a couple hours (thanks Robert and Lori), a small army of friends and neighbors invaded Konner's house to make it a Christmas he'll never forget. This video is an attempt to share the joy and fun we had with everyone else. Enjoy!! And Merry Christmas!!

    Awesome VG!

Hey...I know that guy in the funny robe summoning a drip-tip....;) We went to see Trans-Siberian two years ago at the Orlando Arena. WOW. The money these guys have put into pyrotechnics, laser lighting and stage production is phenomenal! Their bassist use to play with a band called Jackyl back in the 80's. I met him at a gig I was playing 4 or 5 years back. Awesome show...and awesome entry! :):toast:
