Well it was a holiday and my birthday at the same time, Memorial Weekend, many moons ago & we were parked out in the country (me & girlfriend) Sittin back in the truck with this song playing on the radio, just after dark! When all of a sudden the whole truck lit up like bright lights from behind, & thinking it was a car, I was getting ready to move and saw something from the side, out the window was this huge thing flying through the air right next to us with a long flaming tail, like a UFO or something and think it was a comet, 8-o it was huge, all across the dark sky and bright and fast! well we were stunned for sure and it looked like it landed somewhere by a mountain in the distance and we tried following in the truck but got so spooked, we left but anyway the light was so bright and that's what lit up the truck inside just like a spotlight and we're still not sure what we saw and was a UFO to us! We never heard of anyone seeing this of course and even now folks kid us about it & such! so we say...well some see fireworks and we see UFO's and Comets! This girlfriend is my wife and my friend! :) Any way this song free bird gives us this Memorial memory forever!

#1 - 11/19

Looks like some of you folks jumped the starting gun for the contest...

Christmas. I was 18. So at Christmas my cousin brought home her new boyfriend to meet the family. Now my family mostly consists of army veterans who are very proud of their service as we are of them. Well...in comes the boyfriend who is a marine. He seemed wonderful until he started the Army bashing. It went on for sometime until my mother pulled me off to the side and said "call your boyfriend, have him come here." I told her it was Christmas and he was with his family that he couldn't make it. My mom then put on the mad mommy face and "what did I say!?" So I asked "why mom? I have to have a good reason to explain why I'm calling and interrupting his family gathering." Her respond was, "you tell him I told you to call and he is to get down here, take this jarhead out back and kick the ..... outta him. Now!" Sooooo I called him...and he didn't know how to respond. He loved my mom and didn't want to disappoint but there was the whole probably shouldn't be beating up on Christmas thing. So in the end we fibbed. We told my mom that his mom said he couldn't come. So it all worked out lol. We still call that Christmas "the season of giving whoop-@$$es"

So my mother and I were shopping for my family's Christmas gift and as we were walking past a store we both stopped and backed up and reread a sign about jewelry at a fantastic price. We both walked in and saw this 2ct diamond ring. So my mother tries it on...gives it back to the woman and then makes it very clear that she had better get that for Christmas! So we continued walking as I was doing the math in my head to see if I could bypass my dad and buy it for her myself and be super 19 year old daughter of the family. So I excused myself from my mom stating I had girl problems and had to go to the car then the bathroom but I would meet back up her at another point in the mall. So I slowly walked away till I was out of sight and then ran full speed to the jewelry store grabbed a CSR and pretty much screamed "take my money!" I got the ring paid for and ordered in her size and was to pick it up in a week...the cashier went to file the paperwork and as I watched her I see my mom coming...so I resorted to my movie watching experience and hit the dirt...the CSR turned back at me and looked confused. I told her my current situation and she sent another CSR to masterfully intercept my mom. I crawled out of the store with my receipt that had be "accidentally" dropped on the floor. Let's just say that I WAS super daughter that Christmas with a good story to tell too.

Ok so this one was a couple years ago. I find that my poor aunts and uncles miss out on toys. I feel bad for them as I'm now an aunt and I still love toys lol. (Only as old as ya feel! So I decided to get my 2 aunts 2 uncles grandparents and my Dad those paper jam guitars. The looks on their faces were PRICELESS! They tore the plastic off and we're ready to jam until they found that batteries were not included. However being the super kid that these people help teach read I bust out with the batteries...I've never seen a more crazy bunch of people jamming to songs that didn't go together. My daughters generation were begging to play with them and all the adults turned in Gollum with his precious. I now make sure EVERYONE gets toys for Christmas!

One of my favorite clips from classic Xmas movies. I did this to my grandson once when he was little, he couldn't even bend over. LOL

Ha!

Very funny.....One of my favorite parts of the movie, along with the Chinese people singing "Deck the Halls" in the restaurant!

Excellent! :)
