First Christmas with my husband... you would think something romantic, etc. like jewelry, candy, perfume... nah... the man gets me a 3 pack of socks. He has been reminded of that for the past 35 years.

Joan,
My husband did the same thing to me (Not our first Christmas) except it was a can opener, not an electric can opener, manual

He paid for that for over 25 years, of course he never learned and a vacuum cleaner was later gift.:facepalm:

Hehehehe...:D Sometimes us guys do that! Nothing like the time I forgot my Wife's birthday though. I had the flu that week and was pretty ill, BUT still caught plenty of scorn for it!:evil: I made up for it afterwards though and earned some brownie points. :)

How does the saying go? "Better for a man to dwell on the edge of a rooftop, than to face a woman's scorn". ;)

For some reason I'm not seeing the videos shared by the people who are using the "Share" links on Youtube to post them... :( (am I the only one??)

The best way to post them is to copy the link/URL of the vid, click on the "Go Advanced" tab at the bottom of the Reply box here, and then click on the little filmstrip icon:

Paste the URL into the pop-up box, and you're all set... snowman_06.gif

I was a HUGE Twin Peaks fan, and this song is just hysterical... ohmy.gif

NOTE: Countboredom should like this... icon_cool.gif

It was a Los Angeles rock radio station, KROQ, that first aired this Twin Peaks version of the "12 Days of Christmas". The same station put out a Christmas album and this song was included. The album was only available for sale in the Los Angeles area.

The Twelve Days Of Christmas

For those who haven’t heard it yet, here’s the Twin Peaks version of the “12 Days of Christmas” classic recorded by some of the cast members for the L.A.-based modern rock radio station, KROQ-FM (kay-rock). As you can guess, hearing BOB sing is most unsettling.

This is a great song with some of the old pictures from WWI and the Korean War...I often look at the people and wonder what they were thinking.....My Father could have been one of these men going off to war........

Good one! :)

Yea, my Dad was in the Korean War. Went in when he was 19 or 20. I heard quite a few tales about it, but me being young...he tried to limit them to either funny ones or simple good times with his buddies there. One of the best ones...was when they were all slightly drunken and paid a fellow soldier $2 to stick his "you know what" against the side of a tank one freezing cold evening. Of course....it stuck to the frigid steel! My Dad told him "Now if you give me back the $2 I gave you...I'll get you some warm water".:toast:

Hehehehe!
