I am so glad I am not alone with my musical taste.....Warrant is another one I could never get enough of....I Saw Red is one of my all time favorites....these years are filled with most of my best memories.....

Oh yea...Warrant Rocks! "Down Boys"..."Heaven"... "Big Talk"..."In the Sticks"....all excellent tunes.

It's a shame Jani passed not long ago. WOW..what a set of vocal pipes that guy had. Yet another talented artist taken away way too soon by addiction. :(

As a teenager of the 80's you have to love Def Leppard and this one means alot to me.;)

As a teenager? I still love it at 43!!!

Oh yea...great tune and band. The song "Hysteria" is linked with a very special memory for me. I may have to share that one with everyone... ;)

Good one Evie! Thanks for playing!

I was a fan of the early Fleetwood Mac, when they were led by Peter Green... before Christine Perfect married John McVie, and the duo Buckingham/Nicks joined the band.

They were a hard rockin' blues band, and I remember we were all waiting for their next LP to come out when this song was released as a single (Oh Well Parts 1 & 2 on the A & B sides) and were extremely disappointed to find that this song wasn't on the LP!!

It was re-released a couple of months later with the song included, and a sticker on the cover saying: 'Includes the HIT single..." LOL!!!

This is the short version, but the only one I could find of the original band playing this song live...

Another disappointing LP release was Jethro Tull's 'Stand Up'... this song was released as a single and got a lot of airplay, but didn't appear on an LP until a couple of years later, on the compilation album with the same title/name...

I didn't realize that both of the LP's in my posts today were released the same year until I searched for the songs!!
I guess the bands didn't expect to have hit singles at the time the albums were 1st compiled...

Back in the late 60's thru the mid 70's, the British bands LP's were released in the UK first, and then over here. A lot of times they had different songs on them, too, which made it really hard to decide which one to buy!! One time I bought both to have all of the songs... LOL!! And if I remember correctly, Traffic's 'Mr. Fantasy' came out with 3 different covers/titles along with different songs, too.

The Imports were better quality but usually cost a little more... the same with Mono vs Stereo, so some of my early LP's are Mono, including Hendrix's 1st one... It used to take me a whole month to save up to buy an album when I was a teenager!!

1. It's been a Metallica kind of day. I love all of the old Metallica songs! Been listening to this:

Funny you said that...I was listening to "Master of Puppets" yesterday while cruising down the highway. I don't really roll down my windows anymore since I don't smoke, soooo I rolled all the windows down and let the cold air hit me in the face and cranked up the stereo! Woke me up for sure, my brain and my ears....Finished my cup o' Joe and I was ready for the day!

Great tune, BTW... :)

#1 This song belongs to the wonderful state of Ohio and all the wonderful emo kids... I regret that I actually went to a concert by them and I had a blast with my husband as our first concert together, I have no clue what I was thinking to actually like this!!!

Hawthorn heights -Ohio is for lovers

2. Been listening to this one today too. Love this song, matches my mood perfectly.

Bri, I'm 42 so we we're rocking to a lot of the same music growing up!

Yep...I figured that!:toast: Very cool!

I still play a lot of it in the local biker clubs here in Fl. when I gig.....never seems to get old, unlike myself! Kinda tired of playing "Born to be Wild" though...
It still packs the dance floor amazingly..;)
