#2 Just on a whim I decided to go to an audition for a singer for a local rock/alternative band. I didn't know what they'd want to hear me sing because it was a last minute thing so I didn't have their setlist to rehearse. So I brought my guitar with me and since I only play acoustic I sang/played "Into Dust" for them even though it wasn't the genre of music they played. They just stood there listening and I thought, 'this is a bad sign' but I didn't care, it was just a whim anyway. When I finished they cancelled all the rest of the auditions, 'hired' me on the spot and I ended up spending almost 10 years with them. Their temperamental bass player turned out to be the best friend I'd ever had. This song reminds me, "Life turns on a dime..." But sometimes in a good way
Life was so simple and happy that summer.
