As I child, I grew up listening to a lot of the music my mom liked: Buddy Holly, Chubby Checker, Elvis, Simon & Garfunkel, The Rolling Stones, and the Beach Boys. While I enjoyed listening to many of the songs, I'd have to say one of the earliest songs that meant anything to me was when I was in kindergarten. I was friends with a girl named Wendy, but she moved away in the middle of the school year.

Great Song, Count! Yep...I remember the tune too, it fits your story to a "T"! I grew up listening to George Jones, Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard and Elvis...my Mom was just NUTS about them! Then one day...I heard Jimi Hendrix play "The Star Spangled Banner". It was all over with then!!!! Been Rockin' ever since!

Reminds me of old jam sessions with good friends, and good spirits. :toast:

Oh yes! Reminds of the old garage jam sessions when I wore a younger man's clothes. Cheap beer, loud guitars feeding back, screechy vocals...and a few cute girlys too!!! Good times indeed.....back when my knees and back didn't hurt me all the time.

1. Love Keith Sweat, this song is my fave of his. I wonder how many babies were made to his music.

It's a good possibility that my daughter was...

I can't do videos, because my internet is so slow, but the song "Moscow Nights" brings back memories of the summer of 1994 in Moscow, Russia with dear friends there. Many of them were elderly, and are no longer around.

Hi Kathi,

Wow...you've been to Russia! Definitely on my bucket list of places to go....thanks for playing! :)

I think it's changed a lot, it was still pretty much Soviet when we were there, but it was a wonderful place to visit. We lived with friends, and lived and traveled the way they did. Weekends at the Dacha, going to work with them, shopping at kiosks, visiting friends at their apartments and such. Much better than a tour. :)

My best friend and I spent many nights playing Canasta with my parents when we were young. For some reason, we often listened to Gordon Lightfoot when we played.

Great Song/Ballad! I love music that tells a historical true story. Awesome choice, my Friend.

Be Well, :vapor:

1+1=2 Just Between You and Me - April Wine. Everytime I get the guitar out I have to sing this to my wife before the guitar goes back in the case. She's one in a million. :)

Very Cool! Wow...another guitarist, that's awesome! We're swarming in here...

BTW, I have to play and sing "Burning Heart" by Vandenburg every time the acoustic comes out....or else!

Thanks for playing!
