As I child, I grew up listening to a lot of the music my mom liked: Buddy Holly, Chubby Checker, Elvis, Simon & Garfunkel, The Rolling Stones, and the Beach Boys. While I enjoyed listening to many of the songs, I'd have to say one of the earliest songs that meant anything to me was when I was in kindergarten. I was friends with a girl named Wendy, but she moved away in the middle of the school year.

I didn't know any 'real' lullabyes when I had my babies, so this is one I used to sing to them
#2. Another from the same artist (Cat Stevens) and featured in the same film. Love the movie, love the songs. Lyrically great.

1. Love Keith Sweat, this song is my fave of his. I wonder how many babies were made to his music. It's a good possibility that my daughter was...![]()

I can't do videos, because my internet is so slow, but the song "Moscow Nights" brings back memories of the summer of 1994 in Moscow, Russia with dear friends there. Many of them were elderly, and are no longer around.
Hi Kathi,
Wow...you've been to Russia! Definitely on my bucket list of places to go....thanks for playing!

My best friend and I spent many nights playing Canasta with my parents when we were young. For some reason, we often listened to Gordon Lightfoot when we played.
1+1=2 Just Between You and Me - April Wine. Everytime I get the guitar out I have to sing this to my wife before the guitar goes back in the case. She's one in a million.
