Thought better of it... can you not delete a post on this forum?

Apparently not, Shelley. I've run into the same problem a couple of times. Just edit to something like "Deleted by poster" to meet the 10 char req. Or ask a SysOp (or whatever they're called here, I'm still stuck with the old Compuserve forum notation :)).

Chinese companies do not honor patents, and they are rarely enforced in China.

There are no International Patents per say. If you want patent protection you have to register in each and every country where you want to protect your invention. The rights granted by a patent (U.S) extend only to US territory.

Dont blame all the ills of your country to china, :p

This would not affect loyal customers of Provape, but it would influence new customers, which is just as bad for their bottom line.

I kind of doubt it. New customers with only $50 to spend would never buy a ProVari; new customers who are considering the ProVari, who have done any research wouldn't buy a counterfeit. New customers easily impressed with counterfeits won't buy the counterfeit ProVari, either- it doesn't have the 'new 'technology' they think they need/want...

But that could be said about any number of APVs.

People buy the Provari because it has a good reputation, even if that reputation is outdated.

I have no qualm with the Provari as a device. I'm sure it's wonderful. It's smug Provari users that bother me, especially now that there is very little reason to be smug concerning its performance as an APV. There are dozens of APVs that are superior in how they vape.

I really don't see us provari owners as smug. It just gets old hearing from people that have never used a provari poor mouthing the provari as an outdated expensive mod that is no longer relevant in today's apv market. I've owned a lot of mods in my 2 1/2 years of vaping, from cheap chit from China to authentic mech mods and DNA 30 mods. Yeah, there are mods out there that provide more power than a provari presently can, but I haven't found one yet that is as reliable, durable, or longer lasting in battery life as my provaris. For its range of up to 3.5 amps and 15 watts, there isn't a better mod out there that I have seen.

The special economic zones in PRC are all about capitalism. This is quite different from the totalitarian socialism practiced in the rest of the country. Pure, unadulterated, no-hold barred barred capitalism except they can count on cheap loans from their government. That's where the e-cigs and everything else you buy from China comes from. There are no regulations to provide protection of intellectual property, copyright or patents in China. So-called capitalists in the US are the first to yell "socialist" when their government imposes regulations on business and the first to cry "foul" when the Chinese copy their goods and sell them under the table because they have no anti-business regulations to worry about.. Go figure.

Thank the maker, somebody who gets it.

That's been my experience as well. I own at least a dozen mods, half VV/ half mech.'s. Some genuine, some clones. I find the Provari is the mod I carry with me always. I just find comfort that I know it will always work when I need it, it's not complicated, and it just feels solid and is dependable. Even if I drop it, I'm confident it will work in all likelyhood.

Wants for the new provari coming soon:

1.adjustable pin on the 510 connection, please.
2.Provari should clone the kayfun and run with it as an accessory add on with their quality, should be good.
3.OLED? I dunno...is OLED durable, if it is, yeah, if not love my provari v1 display....meh...it works for me.

Everything else would be icing.

I'm not a subohmer and I don't smoke analogs AND vape like some fools...nor am I a friggin' cloud chaser....hehe...just a flavah chasah(for my fellow Bostonians).

Vape On and don't be so serious vapers!

Adjustable pins have been known to leak, so that will never happen. ProVape would never counterfeit a tank; they would develop their own. The display is the most durable, reliable available; that won't change, either...

They've changed the size of the atty connection to accommodate the airflow adapter.

I'm waiting to see how many stores in the US try to sell this as a 'Provari' clone - it wouldn't be very clever to do such a thing after all the legal fun with Illvapes and the Hana clone.

I can guarantee that the only aspect of this device that resembles a Provari is the outside - bet the electronics are fashioned from pure turd.

At least this might preempt Provape to release the Provari 3 a little sooner.
