Mixing with all pg vs all vg. Is it the same?

Hi,
I've been mixing with all vg so far, and I'm just wondering if I started mixing with all pg instead, would I use the same amount of drops for flavouring? Does one carry flavour better than the other?

VG tends to masks flavors a lot more than PG-- go easy when flavoring straight PG.

Thanks for the reply. Would you know roughly how much less flavouring is needed when mixing with pg? I don't have any pg currently. Reason I ask is if flavours come out better in pg and use less drops, then I will definitely get some. I don't know though.

When testing flavs I'll usually start @ 2 drops per ml of base liquid, or when making a 3ml batch I start off w/ 6 drops of flavoring & adjust from there.

A fresh mix needs to sit for a day (or a couple of hours), to let the flavor(s) homogenize.

VG is thicker than PG, and by itself too thick to vape, so I add about 15% distilled water to my DIYs. Some use alcohol, about 10%. Not a fan of inhaling alcohol myself, and it dries my throat and mouth out too much. VG with water is just right for me.

PG tends to not need as much dilution, but I don't like its taste or drying/irritation effects. I'm a vg guy.

Also, drops are not a good way to estimate volumes. Different viscosities of liquids will have different drop sizes. I do all my DIYs with a syringe. Easier, safer (I use 100 mg VG), faster, and more accurate, which is REALLY important if you are using very high nic for DIYs.
