It doesn't ever come loose by it's self

Good people on this thread; Vince got me the shim material, someone posted in depth switch mod method, dwcraig1 has good advice.

I shimmed mine and tightened it up... rarely gets warm if that now.

The shim mod is a good one. It not only improves performance with the MKB; but other clones as well. I have a sigelei #13 that I've also shimmed. After shimming it, it works as smooth as my EA. It seems that one of the drawbacks to some of the Chinese clones, aside from the fact that they insist on chrome plating everything, is the sloppiness of the machining in the switches.

My new GGTS switch had about the same amount of sideways play as the MKB, just saying.

thanks for the spec on the shim, Rule62... (18.88mmx8mm).
The only thing I am not as jazzed about with the MKB TS switch now is the thin button. Compared to the EA Clone which has the best switch/button so far.
Also I'm a little nervous about the short throw.

As long as you set the throw to where you want it, and then snug the locking ring with pliers, it should stay put. The same goes with the firing pin.. Take a small box-end wrench to the hex on the inside, and snugly tighten the hex on the button..

How do you adjust the throw? I would guess by how far in you set the umm main cylinder into the tube ... like the more its in the shorter the throw?

my mkb ts switch feels better than my gg stealth switch after shimming. it also hits harder in '350 mode. as I only need one side button mod I may sell my stealth and keep the superior product (after some modding). I not so patiently waiting for my brass stealth cap from GM-er. hopefully this week.

This is the one that comes in the 2013 GGTS, appears to be all brass contacts

I notice no difference between my all brass GM switch and my stock (no shim) MKB switch as far as how hard they hit and I'm running stuff at 0.8 ohm

I didn't notice a huge difference, when I shimmed my MKB. It was an improvement; but not as great as when I shimmed my Sig #13.

Boy, when I first posted about the shim I knew I could help a few people, but the mkb wasn't popular then, but I guess it's catching on! I'm stoked this helps so many people!

DW, my GG outperforms my MKB electrically after the addition of gg brass teletube and extension tube. I noticed a similar effect with the 69 brass set. Its not detracting from my use of the MKB in any way tho.

I'm considering getting another MKB just to have a collector tank for my new gg stealth. Let's see GG part is >$100 & currently unavailable, or an entire mkb for <$70...

Oh , I believe you, just wanted to show the new one

got it. :)

my inner switch plunger is SS also. the center pole, switch plunger, and bottom cap pole are all brilliantly polished SS. I guess the idea back then was form over function. don't get me wrong its a beautiful little mod, but Id rather have a brushed finished mod that performs great. im not trying to take anything away from imeo, he has some brilliant designs and his mods are true show pieces. im only speaking of my personal experience with one of his older designs. it will be up for trade as soon as joker gets me re-verified.

I have 2 mkb-ts. I got them in May, mid month was my bday. I aso have 2 stealth caps, 2 ody-ts bases. 2 Term-c's set up 3mm wick, 1ohm - 1.1 ohm, xtra 3mm under coil. grounded under wick, not ring.. No leaks, fluid flow open .5 (HALF) turn, to start. No leaking, nada, none. This is the most $$$ nice $$$ smooth $$$ functioning $$$ mech mod combo i have. I do have some other mods, GUS's, Stratus22, Sigelei mechs, even last week a Noble 1 hybrid. My mkb-ts's + everything i put on top, is the nicest, safest, great vape so far.. 4 me:2c:
